This video was such an eye opener. I finally realized that i am not the only weird one that loves to take notebooks/planners apart. Why i feel like i need 300 notebooks for everything in my life. Thanks for this video. Sometimes i think im completely nuts. But it’s really reassuring to know someone else that thinks like me!!
You are definitely not alone, BeatrizS!! I almost wrote that VERY statement today in my journal (about being nuts), but I said "No, I am NOT going to write that down" (ha, and thereby manifest it!) but I just counted notebooks (comp and others, many from Dollar Tree), got up to 100 and quit counting, then I started counting the ones I MADE, and that is over 60, and then I counted the bound, nicer journals, some of which were gifted and of course those which I'm afraid to write in and mess up, and I stopped counting at 18. Then I counted ring bound (over 25), and last, but not least, are my disc-bound planners (about 10). WHY WHY WHY??? and I love pens, too; don't let me get started on those, but there is just something about putting that ink on paper and I often wonder if maybe my job in eternity will be as a SCRIBE, which would be great!! But honestly I am on a quest as to what I can do to make it not just about ME but maybe to bless others and that would make it all worth it to me. Best wishes to you and all of us planners and journalers; love Heart Breathings too, best wishes always.
I used to work at an EC retail store and when we coiled planners and notebooks we used needle-nose pliers! We used one pair to keep the coil in place and one pair to turn the coil in.
Started working on a story. This is something I used to do as a teenager. I've been finding it harder to write as an adult. Maybe someday I will be able to finish and be happy with it. Thanks for the inspiration. ❣️ Have a blessed month ❤ Thanks to those ladies for the notebooks ❤
I used an entire a6 Stalogy for hb90! That’s the first notebook completed this year, and I’m so happy! I have 10 pages left of my passport TN Bujo insert too, so that’ll be filled this month! 🎉 This month, baby boy is coming and my family is hyped! But I’m just using a simple Bujo for this month because I don’t know how another baby will affect planning. So I’m keeping things totally basic for my mid-year lineup.
I am going to use my bullet journal for the cruise in September. To be able to document each day. I have one for my mental health since I deal with anxiety. I am improving with my anxiety. My doctor increased my anxiety medication and I am doing so much better!
I made the decision to revamp my book, and since then, the ideas have been pouring out of me into my composition notebook. It's a wonderful feeling ❤ 🍒
Hi Sarra! I love watching these videos to help me stay motivated to plan. But I was wondering if you could do a short video or series of shorts on how to plan out for certain daily tasks, like writing, editing, book covers, publishing etc as I have so much trouble getting organised. Love all you do💖 Thank you for sharing so many things with us. 💯
Always love these videos! And would love to see not just set ups, but also a run through of your processes using and/or planning in them. Love seeing the way people use planners and note books in different ways for different functions.
I finished one of my notebooks🎉 and ready to start filling another with more BTS stuff😅. Also prepared a new writing notebook to take on my vacation, promised myself that if I had down time writing will be a priority because the book won't write itself. The notebooks are too cute, amazing ladies ❤ Hugs
I wish you had some statistics in these types of videos! Like how many unused notebooks you have, have many have you started, how many have you finished! Not to make it a goal and make finishing something you "need" to do, but mostly for the fun of it :D
Yay! Missed the notebook challenge in May. I always think I can't learn more ways to use my notebooks. I always do anyway! Just started a new health routine to fix a long-term problem and added a notebook. Notebooks make it fun. 🍒
I always look forward to the Notebook Challenge! It ispires me to get a new notebook out and start using it. I have to start using more stickers, etc... I never use my stickers, I always forget about them.❤
Perfect timing!! I have neglected using my notebooks as much as I usually do because I’ve been so busy too, but it makes such a difference when I do. Definitely will take time today to figure out which ones I’m using this month. I know for sure I have my EC Petite from the SSB from years ago that I’ve been using and am so close to finishing!
I'm still using my 2024 monthly review journal, where I record my writing and emotional progress. It's thanks to Sarra I started it ❤ It really helps me get perspective on my progress, rather than the things I haven't yet achieved
I’m loving all of the notebooks you’re using!! I’m using both an A6 and an A5 Stalogy right now. The A5 for my planner, the A6 for journaling and memory keeping. We have a homestead and I’m using an EC 3-subject as a garden journal. I prayer journal and use a prettied up composition notebook for that, I have for years. I buy composition Notebooks like they are going out of style 😂😂. I have lots of other notebooks in my collection but those are the ones I touch daily.
Thank you again for this! So inspiring.I have been stuck for a couple of months. I have been holding myself to unrealistic goals. I agree with what you mentioned. Moving forward day to day and meeting myself where I am at. ❤
I found your TH-cam channel during Nanowrimo 2023 and I loved your channel because it helped me not be as hard on myself at writing which makes me want to write more. I loved your notebook challenged because I also hoard notebooks but seeing how you use them and set them uo is very helpful!
So excited to see another notebook challenge! It's got me inspired to pull out some notebooks I haven't been using. Also looking forward to another round of HB90. I really need to get back on track! 🍒
Sarra, I used to work as a body piercer and sometimes when someone would manage to tighten a ball on a piece of jewellery a client was wearing, we'd sometimes need to break out the needle nose pliers to loosen it. Now with body jewellery, it’s really detrimental to the clients health to scratch the jewellery because that then becomes a good place for bacteria to grow or dead skin to build up and cause irritation. In these cases, we'd put the pliers in some high quality nitrile gloves ( which are thicker than standard latex) to protect the jewellery, but still allow us to get a good grip. In other cases if we were trying to grip a ball or something that wasn’t going to be inside the client's skin, we might use thick paper towel. I would suggest trying to use a good, new set of needle nose pliers without too much of a tooth and then try different barriers with it - nitrile gloves, shop towels, etc. I wish I could give exact instructions, but I’ve never had an Erin Condren planner, so I don’t know how much force is needed to bend the coil, but hopefully this might give you a starting point.
LOVE Procrastiplanner! My writer pin goes with me everywhere. And I'm so excited to read Daughter of the Merciful Deep! Missed the notebook challenge last month--this was such a fun return! 💗🍒
Added Leslye Penelope's book to my wish list. I live near a drowned town that even a lot of locals don't realize because no one talks about it. Going to read this book to honor the lost history of Oscarville.
I love that you frankenplan with the Erin Condren planners! It gives me a lot of inspiration for taking part my planners and notebooks, to make them fit to my needs. I also really love the idea of the evidence notebook. There have been so many times I've seen certain times (11:11, 1:31, 9:11) and wanted to write down what I was doing, thinking, etc. In the time seeing those magical numbers. It was very sweet of the three ladies to provide this months giveaway notebooks! 🍒🍒🍒
Omg that book by Leslie sounds amazing! Can’t wait to read it! So glad you’re back- I missed the May video!! And very excited for the next round of hb90! Yay’ 🎉 🍒
So excited for your future Ream and serial videos! I'm currently working on a serial, and am hoping to launch it on Ream in July. I'm so nervous/excited to give it a try...but mostly excited!
It's so interesting you call the Dailiy Duo's Weekly as a Week in Review. My plan is to use it as a Week in the Future and plan the next week. Love how we are the same but different ❤
So stoked to take HB90 again!! Start of my second year on this system and I'm loving every second! Might also give 6M4L a go this coming year as well. Gimme all the stuff Sarra! You're fabulous and I'll joyfully learn everything you've got to teach me. 💙
been mostly sticking to just a combo of bujo and commonplace in the same notebook myself (with a cheap notebook for brainstorming and moleskine journal on the side) but loved hearing about your assortment of notebooks all the same. the pochaco notebook looks super cute!
Yay, I love that your videos are on the comeback. And the fact that Hearties bought notebooks just proves you've really cultivated a community of kind people just like you. Also, that book sounds *AMAZING*. The drowned towns just break my heart. I first learned about them when I learned that a lake in Georgia was made by doing this. Thanks for another great rec and video!
I like using my notebooks for note taking of things I’m learning and for tracking (I like tracking my workouts, books I read checklist of courses I’m learning from.
CONGRATULATIONS!! You're one of our notebook giveaway winners! Please email me at sarra@heartbreathings.com with your full name and mailing address and your choice of which planner you'd like! (choices will have to be first come, first serve)
I recently was able to switch to a tablet with a little keyboard for my notebooks! My right arm is disabled and holding a pen for any length of time causes a lot of pain. That said, I'm planning to use my leftover notebooks for sigil paper (I practice sigil witchcraft)
I always enjoy these notebook challenges and get inspired to recycle them instead of buying new. The read this month is so interesting since we grew up hearing stories about the reservoirs around us-especially Cedar Creek.I have gone diving in Toledo Bend looking for the old structures. I love your notebook challenge videos, and it was fun to see you in all the sprints yesterday for DDD! I'm setting up a TN for my 6M4L, and can't wait to get my goodies in the mail and set it up!
Erin Condren is new to me. During that recent clearance sale you pointed us towards, I got several of the LifePlanner washi rolls, as well as 2 of the goal planning, and checklist, petite planners. I haven't used either yet, but when I stop being scared to even look to the future, they're ready for me.
Oh that's so exciting to connect with a fellow TBM member! I have a friend I'm going through it with already but send me an email and we can try to connect!
Yay! I was so excited to see this video pop up in my feed. I love all your planners and notebooks. That Coach cover is SO beautiful! :) So excited for HB90 Bootcamp!
I understand! I love disc planners, too, so I often make notebooks out of the discs. I would say just lean into what you love with the binders and create some kind of system for how to store the pages when you've used them and moved them out.
I love your notebook videos. I am super interested in how you paper organise for Ream and such (as a Ream user myself). I am trying to arrange my writing planner so that it helps with my own writing (all mine are disc bound system)
🍒 I can NOT wait for Inkerscon digital in July. I joined it last year using your code and was blown away by how good it was. I joined again this year to get the early bird specials and I can not wait to see your speech! I’m getting back into writing again and feeling all the motivation ❤
Yay, we're back!!! What notebooks are you currently using? Are you joining us in HB90? Let me know in the comments!

That's so exciting and I'm so happy for you with the new baby!!! Coming soon!!
Have you tried wrapping the needle nose pliers with electrical tape? That’s what I use to uncoil my planners and the ends don’t get messed up
I haven't! I tried putting a cloth over it and that didn't work but I never tried tape! Thank you.
I am going to use my bullet journal for the cruise in September. To be able to document each day. I have one for my mental health since I deal with anxiety. I am improving with my anxiety. My doctor increased my anxiety medication and I am doing so much better!
I love to see the franken planner process because I want to know the thinking behind each decision. 💖🌞🌵😷
Thank you Suzi!
So glad you're back! Missed the notebook challenge last month.
Loveee watching these to motivate me to finish tasks. Thanks for keeping me company while I do meal prep! That sunset coil is so pretty
Looking forward to Q3! So many ideas! Cherries are my favorite fruit so always Cherry on top!
I ❤ seeing the notebook challenge. It encourages me to keep moving forward.
I’m making my own journal today (very first) to use for Bible writing. ❤❤ definitely doing HB90 again 🎉
Oh wow that's so fun!!
I always think I dont have many notebooks but than I glance over my desk and see a pile of them and I love it. Always looking forward to your content
Really appreciate not just the planner notebook fix but how you introduce us to new authors 😊
I made the decision to revamp my book, and since then, the ideas have been pouring out of me into my composition notebook. It's a wonderful feeling ❤ 🍒

I missed the notebook challenge in May. I'm so glad you're back with these videos because I really enjoy them!!
Yay, so excited for the notebook challenge video every month!! 🩷🩷🩷Sad that there wasn’t one for May:(
Thank you! I was too. I missed it more than I realized I would.
Very intrigued by the diverse read. Thanks for the monthly writer highlights. And a big that you to the donators of this month’s giveaways 💐

Thank you!
Thank you, Sarra. This gave me the motivation I craved. I went through my notebooks as I watched and came across some super interesting things! :-)
Love to hear this!
I love to write about my day. The good, bad, and ugly. I like the idea of writing about the future. I will add this to my daily journaling.
Added Leslye Penelope's book to my wish list. I live near a drowned town that even a lot of locals don't realize because no one talks about it. Going to read this book to honor the lost history of Oscarville.

Now I want more Erin Condren notebooks but I don’t want to get anything else until we move into the new house! 😢
Yes please on the mid year planner lineup!
I always love these videos!

waiting for vlogs and resets!
Love your notebook videos! I appreciate knowing there are other people in the world that collect notebooks and THEN find ways to use them. 😊
How sweet of your friends to buy the notebooks! Love Sanrio! 🍒🍒
Aww Hearties are the best! This makes me excited to set up my notebooks for this month. ❤
Glad to see the notebook challenge back!! So many great ideas!
I always look forward to your notebook challenges. I think I’ve seen every one! I’m going to try starting a commonplace book again 🍒🌈❤️
🍒 I'm using (one of) my notebook(s) for 6 Months 4 Life! I'm excited to work on that this go round!
I always enjoy these notebook challenges and get inspired to recycle them instead of buying new. The read this month is so interesting since we grew up hearing stories about the reservoirs around us-especially Cedar Creek.I have gone diving in Toledo Bend looking for the old structures. I get the need for water but to me it’s sad that people lost land and homes for it.
This gave me a lot of ideas for notebooks. Also, Leslye Penelope's book sounds so interesting! Thank you for sharing that with us :)
Your energy and enthusiasm are always so inspiring... Thank you for being you, Sarra...you are simply, the best... 💜💜💜
This means so much today, thank you!
🍒 LOVE that new Coach cover, it's like you manifested it! 💜💜
Always love the notebook challenge.
I’m using my notebooks for tracking my writing. I have a separate one as a diary. I have one for manifesting. I’m noting my synchronicity right next to the manifesting top 5.
I’m loving using my stickers and you inspire me to keep going
Just added Leslye's new book to my TBR. I'm not usually a fantasy reader, but this sounds too incredible to pass up! I love your notebook challenge videos, and it was fun to see you in all the sprints yesterday for DDD! I'm setting up a TN for my 6M4L, and can't wait to get my goodies in the mail and set it up!
Currently using my planner for work but this inspired me to start using one for more personal goal setting, too!
Erin Condren is new to me. During that recent clearance sale you pointed us towards, I got several of the LifePlanner washi rolls, as well as 2 of the goal planning, and checklist, petite planners. Mid year planner line up! Yes please!
🙌
🍒 so happy to see another notebook challenge video!
Hello from New Zealand. I use all my notebooks for daily journaling. I'm currently using an outlander themed journal that I've decorated.
I love the notebook challenge :) i have so many notebooks and since i watch your notebook challenge videos i finally use my notebooks :)
I’m sorting through my notebook collection as I unpack them! (Recently moved) I’m currently using an Erin Condren xxx💕
Love watching these videos! Now to sort through my own notebook challenge! 🍒
Ooooh, I’m also doing To Be Magnetic! I’m a week behind for the summer challenge due to traveling, but if you need an accountability partner I’m down!

Gosh, you are making me want to purchase an Erin Condren planner, lol. 🍒
I love these notebook challenges! And I'm so excited to see you at Inkers Con!
Yay!! See you there! When I get my head on straight tomorrow, I'll plan out a coffee date or something so we can try to meet up!
I love your notebook videos. I am super interested in how you paper organise for Ream and such (as a Ream user myself). I am trying to arrange my writing planner so that it helps with my own writing (all mine are disc bound system)
Been subscribed for while now … so excited to see more …🍒
I love the Coach cherry cover! I'm on the hunt for one now.😊
Thanks for a great video Sarra!
🍒 I can NOT wait for Inkerscon digital in July. I joined it last year using your code and was blown away by how good it was. I joined again this year to get the early bird specials and I can not wait to see your speech! I’m getting back into writing again and feeling all the motivation ❤
