I know you said that Texes 160 (PPR) is required but I'm not clear on the purpose of the BTLPT. Does this qualify an individual to teach Spanish? How is this different from LOTE (Spanish)?
BTLPT is an supplemental certification. Allowing the teacher to teach in Spanish/English to ELL students. Where as I'm guessing the LOTE is to teach Spanish classes?
Do we need to take both Exams (TeXes 190 BTLPT and the TeXes 164) to be bilingual certified teachers? I passed the 164 but found BTLPT to be very very difficult. Domain 3 was just too quick for me to run the scenario and respond effectively within each time frame.
