I would love for you to make more of these types of authentic recipes! You have the knowledge and are such a great teacher that I bet people will go beyond your General Tso’s chicken recipe (which is delicious) once they get started on cooking Chinese food at home and expand their horizons. These days everyone can build a basic pantry of sauces, spices, and ingredients from online sources, even if they live far from an Asian market. Keep making these videos and people will watch.

I’m going to try this with vegan filling 🌱. I think your tip about marking the corners to roll out a rectangular shape with a dab of flour is GENIUS!!!👍🙏👌🌟
I enjoy your tasty educational recipe teaching. I hope I will be able to try to make this soon Thank You. This one is easier because it is like making a jelly roll.
Hi Mandy, I just made the lazy dragon and we loved it.. I was terrified of making the dough as my dough making skills seriously are lacking but you made it seem so easy that I tried it and now I'm not afraid to try your other breads too.. my hubby did complain that he found the meat some what dry but I believe that was because I may have over cooked it .. regardless it was still delicious and I will make again adjusting the length of time I cook the pork :-)
Dear Souped up recipe, I did your 'better than take out beef chow mein', recipe a few times now and my family and myself, loved it very much. It was so tasty, I only make it this way now. May I take this time to thank you for your time and effort of sharing your recipes and history of where the dish originated from, this makes the dish that more interesting, and please do share more hard to find traditional recipes like the Beijing Stream bun roll. I love your presentation of your videos, and your cheery hello greetings etc etc. May I wish you the very best in Ecuador. Thank you once again for sharing.
Loved this video! The Lazy Dragon looks absolutely delicious!!! ❤️ Can't wait to try it. Would love to see more of this unknown dishes. Thankyou for sharing!

I'm allergic to Onions, all kinds, but i love garlic. So i just added a little more of garlic. It tastes wonderful and the ginger made it aromatic. I remember eating this one time in Beijing...when i was much younger. It not only filled me up, but it warmed my cold hands while eating. Xiexie!
Thank you for watching. I am glad that you like it. Just a note, you can also add some dried spices that you like into the sauce base so you can have more flavor.
WOW....huge thank you from me, I am looking for this recipe for a long time, this lazy dragon bun looks simple but really really delicious, and now I know what I am going to make for the picnic next weekend, thank you Mandy 👍👍

Be well, Happy day. 🙋
I never heard of this before ~ *Thanks for teaching it to us!* I like how you don't have to make individual balls and it still looks like you spent some time making it. : ))
I always learned that if you do not want bread to taste flat you must add salt to the flour. But you do not. Is there a reason you do not add salt ? I am excited to try this . Thanks for sharing.
Very well done! I am sure trying this recipe out this weekend thats for sure TFS Keep up the excellent work my friend its greatly appreciated here by me XOXO happy cooking but better yet happy eatings Have a great day
Looks awesome. The way you’ve set your shots up is impressive, everything looks so good. I have one question. Where did you get a steamer pot so big? I’m having a difficult time finding one for this dish.
Thanks for sharing your recipe! A chinese friend suggested this dish to me, but she also had to send me some original tian mian jiang, as that is impossible to find here =) I followed your recipe, except the oyster sauce ofc (not a fish eater... asians and their weird fish sauces am I right!? :P) My lazy dragon tasted good, but it became a bit dry.. I think I'll try to find pork with even more fat, for my 2nd try.
Love these. I don't typically make dough and don't typically steam food...so did want to double check something. During the 15 minute rest period is the flame/burner turned off or is it set where the temperature of the water stays at 100 deg F for the 15 minutes?

Just became a patreon! Love your channel! Could you please tell me the brand of black vinegar you use? I have never bought it before and I don’t know what it tastes like....does it compare to any other vinegars? Thanks!
Thank you for your support. This is the brand of black vinegar that I will recommend: amzn.to/2tpQkof. It has special fragrance. Go to the Asian market and you should be able to find it.
What a delicious looking recipe! I just love your channel. I actually bought that same soy bean sauce from Amazon a few months ago, and it is amazingly delicious. So salty and savory and yummy. However, I am having a difficult time finding real dark soy sauce. Are you able to link to one from Amazon that you like? Or if not Amazon, then any other site or company that you recommend is fine. I found one on Amazon a few months ago, but it just tasted like soy sauce with more salt added. So I don’t think that was the right product. Any advice for me would be greatly appreciated. My son just loves your Kung pao chicken recipe by the way!
this is the brand that I will recommend: amzn.to/2yvHsSX In China, dark soy sauce does taste salty. As long as your dark soy sauce has deep dark color, it should be fine. Some other types of dark soy sauce taste slightly sweet which is no a problem too. Normally we use a small amount in one recipe so the sodium amount in the dark soy sauce doesn't matter that much.

Very cool! You make it sound so easy. Any suggestions on a sweet filling? Maybe a fruit jam like guava? Or cooked sweet condenses milk and nuts?
I have never trid sweet fillings. But condenses milk sounds good.
That recipe is looking nice, and I have never seen that dish before. It sounds like you are a great wife and mother as well as being a great cook.
Another amazing recipe, Mandy - well done! :)

Looks awesome. The way you’ve set your shots up is impressive, everything looks so good. I have one question. Where did you get a steamer pot so big? I’m having a difficult time finding one for this dish.
I think you can make the rolls smaller so it fits your steamer.
very nice video. the lazy dragon looks delicious. question: is fermented soy bean anything similar to miso? i do enjoy your recipes very much. thanks.
I don't know that much about miso. Can't help you with that. sorry.
Thanks for sharing your recipe! A chinese friend suggested this dish to me, but she also had to send me some original tian mian jiang, as that is impossible to find here =)

Turned off
Awesome. I will give it a try. Thank you very much. Do you know what the chinese name is called?
I love your channel
What do you like better, the kitchen aid mixer or the kenwood you had where you used to live?
They are both good but I think kitchen aid is a little stronger.
I have the Kitchenaid artisan. I personally hate it because it bouces up and down like crazy when kneading dough.
I prefer the crank up because of this
Lock it.
Can you tell me what kind / brand of yeast you used for this recipe and link to dark soy sauce u used . Thanks for sharing!!
I don't remember the brand of the yeast. But this is the brand of dark soy sauce that I will recommend: amzn.to/2lpwqoH
I like your kitchen O and i like your recipes too 😀
Please make more chinese bread recipes. I know northern china has excellent flat bread recipes.

Loved the recipe, do you have a cook book or web site to find recipe?
I don't have a cookbook or web yet. Will make it one day. For now, you can just go to my youtube channel and search for recipes.
These and just regular 包子 are my favorite. Is this even made without cooking the filling first? With just normal 肉馅?
Just became a patreon! Love your channel! Could you please tell me the brand of black vinegar you use? I have never bought it before and I don’t know what it tastes like....does it compare to any other vinegars? Thanks!

I made bean curd homestyle
Was good but I didn't deep fry the tofu enough
How do you compare this stand mixer method compared to your normal totally hand method?

How long do they keep? Can they be frozen? I'm only cooking for 2 people.
You can freeze them after you steam them. When you want to eat it again, just steam it until fluffy again.
Souped Up Recipes 👍👌谢谢你的分享!
Can you change 400g to cup please. , Thanks
