Rock chips apart of the game, look at them as battle scars it gives the car more character and clutch issues an excuse to upgrade it to have it ready for any future power mods. ZR1 a solid car overall and really rare especially in the M7 so definitely a smart purchase should hold value
To all my “overheating comments “ STOP lol 😂 being a ex owner of a 2009 and 13 gt500 those cars overheat as well ..: anyone who buys a supercharged car from the factory and complains about the heating sell you car your in the wrong profession .. Get a heat exchanger a tank and be done with it … spend the money 🤫 don’t get me wrong my car overheats even after the cooling mods but it is more efficient then stock and after 4 races I let it cool off … BOOST creates heat period it’s physics .. get cooling mods they work … If there is any car that impressed me stock from the factory it’s the 13/14 gt500 heat exchanger! The 09 gt500 /c7 z06 STOCK cooling was total garbage … z06 owners aren’t thee only ones that went through garbage cooling trust me Shelby owners can back me up on this … (07-09 cars ) My c7z06 has a HE / front reservoir / meth / e85 it a heads cam lower pulley … and thee only weird thing with the car is my check engine light came on twice and it always comes back off at thee end in the day it’s into happened to me twice had the car for 5 months so I just bought it ,,,, the car was built my AMP in Dallas and I don’t regret it they do awesome work As far as the crack wheel issue on these cars I bought forged wheels so there’s that … and I haven’t had TT issues YET I was told that’s a c6 problem more so … but It it happens I’ll go aluminum DS from the DSS … Nice car bro get PPF I have it it will save that sexy car .. and one more thing bro !!! You built a c7z06 so good you made me buy one !! Don’t let this SMALL issue bring you down this so nothing in your world you got this bro 😎enjoy that nice car you deserve it !
The reality is all cars come with problems but the problems these vettes be having be fucking insane. I know a hellcat ain’t in the class but it’s a perfect performance car to base reliability off of. The hellcat is indestructible vs the vette even the base stingray be blowing stock diffs, cracked wheels, heat soaking, torque tubes, VVT CYLD causing the engines to blow etc like damn the corvette is Chevrolet’s FLAGSHIP CAR!
I feel like most of those issues are very rare. I haven't looked into c7 corvettes a whole lot, although I absolutely adore them, but even in higher powered vettes, most people have no problems. Can't absolutely verify but they seem to be overall reliable. I have heard of hellcat unreliability in the engine after a decent amount of miles but that's expected on a high horsepower/stress engine.
The overheating was a big problem on the gt500s I’ve owned 2 … that’s an easy fix with a heat exchanger … the TT is more common with the c6 thej it is the c7 ,,
@@1Chinx there's Actually only one, and it's for the wheels on some z06 and grand sports. Doesn't seem like a big deal to me. There are more lawsuits on the hellcat actually. Rear ends are a large issue and the demons had one relating to their hood scoops/paint
@@trashbandit2449 idk bro these wheels cost 1200 a piece. It’s easy to say when you don’t own the car. I’ve been around and in over 50 hellcats and none of them ever had a problem besides the hood scoop flying out at 170
