This was immensely intriguing and intellectually stimulating! I especially appreciate all the video editing that went into it. Way better than those guys that just use their phone with no editing at all!
Excellent content and presentation. So much of information on connectors. I have been using so many of them without even knowing the names. I have started watching many of your videos one by one. High on integrity and character. Thumbs up.
this is really channel.. i'm starting to follow and watch all videos because it's very helpful.. from Blessed Hope Baptist Church Philippines 🇵🇭 .. thanks!
Marvelous intro! You really know your stuff! It’s comforting to know that if anyone came to you for advice or help, y’all would take excellent care of their #1 concern! Your super fans really, really, really appreciate that about you!
In response to the apparent public outcry for my comment......Blind & Ignorant this is the best I can do. Hey AudioBuff you got not love for my latest support to the channel. Everyone wants to see the new 2020 calendar already!
Me at 20:45 - "Man that was interesting, but he didn't mention anything about BNC being used for SDI video, like on my ATEM. Oh well, maybe in a future video..." Jude at 21:00 - (busts out an ATEM) Thanks Jude, and already looking forward to that next video :)
Me at 00:00 This would be a good video to do. Me at 04:00, what have I gotten my self into? Me at 22:00, I’m going to bed. Thank you for watching-I hope it was a help!
Hi, I just bought that exact Ashly amp. Can you tell me the specs for the Euroblock speaker connector you're holding at 12:42? I can't seem to find that part online. Thank you.
Thank you for watching the video! I just placed a big order with Ashly and asked for extra connectors. If they ship them to me, I’ll pass them along to you.
@@audiobuff Thanks for the offer! I eventually found the connector spec in an Ashly engineering document (4-pin 7.62mm pitch) so I picked up a pair and they fit fine.
Strictly speaking, there is no such thing as _RJ45._ The term is a colloquialism adapted from the RJ45S standard, which actually a slightly different (keyed) connector. The better term would be 8P8C modular plug/jack, but I guess these days "RJ45" is part of the vernacular.
@@audiobuff 8P8C is nomenclature for describing modular plugs and jacks. It simply means _eight position, eight contact._ Just like telephone modular plugs and jacks of old were 6P6C or 6P4C.
I haven’t had the opportunity to watch yet.... I wouldn’t dare attempt to comment in ignorance. Patience my Buffington sister. I did blindly offer a “like” soon after posting.
The endless-loop background music is mildly crazy-making and should have been like 12 dB lower or simply eliminated. Otherwise I thought the video was informative and well-presented. Speaking as a pro-audio nerd of thirty years. ;)
Wow. Jude you are now “The History Guy” of pro audio connectors. Indubitably a plethora of useful technical jargon.
“Connectors worth remembering”!

Happy to help! We love chips and salsa too, even if it’s not Cinco de Mayo
And we love stuffed crust pizza. Can’t go wrong with that.

I’ve never heard the term 8P8C. I will update my information. And thank you for watching!

Super fan C. Culver is falling behind in his promptness.
Patience is understandable.
