Love this! Just bought 6ms of pale pink Tencel Modal Jersey from Good Fabric - one of the businesses on your directory. Now after hearing this I can’t wait to start sewing the designs for my sleepwear collection! Another great video! Thanks for sharing your expertise, it’s so refreshing! 🙌😊
After the rabbit hole of Rayon/Modal/Lyocell/Tencel.... I finally know I'll go for the more expensive bedding made of Tencel Lyocell instead of something else.
Gah! So many times I smiled through this video. Your presentation style is awesome. It's crazy how it took a global pandemic for companies to decide to use their own dead stock, among other better decisions. Unfortunately, some companies (and maybe some of the same companies that decided to use their deadstock) also cancelled orders and refused to pay for work done. Now I have to go find out if Tencel made a baby with hemp!
@@frankydune I *have* found some! So far, one source is ~$8.5/m plus $56 shipping & taxes in USD, which worked out to ~$102 CAD if I ordered 3m (I'm in Canada, BTW)
@@frankydune The Tencel-hemp fabric was from Bastine. Also, I've fallen down a few fabric-related rabbit holes in the past 24 hours (typical of me, with ADHD), while researching for a trend forecasting school project (I'm taking a fashion design diploma)! I'm educating myself about Tencel, which is a trademark name that belongs to Lenzing. Tencel could be Eco Vero, a less-toxic-than-generic-but-still-toxic-viscose. Or, it could be Tencel modal, which is better than viscose. Or, Tencel lyocell, which appears to be the most eco-friendly, most sustainable of all the semi-synthetics. So, back to the Tencel-hemp baby -- idk which type of Tencel was blended in

@@sheleia66 🥴 That is crazy $$$ for 3m. Mind if I ask who the supplier is?
