RXG is unique bike with unique character, It is unique in every sense like clutch power and sound. It is unmatched but only if you have the bike with good combination otherwise it will ruin your experience. I personally like RXG's initial pickup and soft sound. Nice that you have made video on this uncrowned prince of Rx family
Owner of a single handed 96 model stock rxg with company fitted everything. Apart from the jerking issue in low rpm’s the bike’s initial pickup is amazing and in overtakes just one gear down and you are good to go.
Very Nice Topic equally well explained....just to add that RXG had different sproketing....along with different gearing of clutch bell teeths had more top end than regular 135s...it's just that the huge expections of RX 100 couldn't be matched by RXG bcoz of RX 100s faster acceleration to the 90kmph along with a cracking Exhaust note...RXG had the most softer silencer muffler....& Initial batches of RXG had hand choke like the RX100s.
I have owned YAMAHA RXG and fact is YAMAHA recalled RXG due to poor magnet- starting problem, Fast worn out of Rings and Piston, Blocks and early worn out of Clutch they have replaced those components. It is seen in the year '97 just when RX100 discontinued many people purchased RXG as the only option even upgraded to RXG but they faced issues. I have also sold RXG and purchased Cat RX135 4 speed. One thing is sure the acceleration is unmatched and sound of RXG is also lesser than RX100 but RX135 is born from RXG.

Bhai there is one 96 model but it is repainted as 135 but one of my fend said in 96 only rxg was in production...so how can I recognise whether it is 135 or rxg.....I hope it would be rxg
*Problem in My RX 135* At any gear position, when I go over a certain speed (say 10 - and high) and close the throttle, she behaves very weird. I mean the deceleration is not smooth at all. It gives heavy jerks as if someone is pulling and then pushing the bike while the throttle is closed. So to get rid of this, I pull the clutch and then it gives a momentory relief. And this continues untill she comes down to 20, Plzz suggest some solution
I had the same issue check the rust deposit in fuel cock in tank and clean the tank with kerosene use new filter and check the carburettor for cleaning

No issue I noticed. I am using rx 100 reed in rx135 4 speed from 15 years. Till now no problem but Reed valve of rx135 is different.

this problem come from clutch adjustment also.. Do the clutch setting in clutch cover & make the clutch lever distance little long (in clutch yok)
Chek, bore kit, make sure it is not ported, and then chek your Crank
