    In Nico We Trust!! He was right about Kyrie. It was more of a risk NOT to go after Kyrie. Cause Kyrie legitimized the Mavs. But Nico knew it still wouldn't be enough. So he tanked for a Top 10 pick & ended up with Lively & OMax. And Grant Williams didn't work out so he went shopping & found PJ & Gafford. And now the Mavs are a destination...at least to those interested in winning rings.
    You'll still get some who'll take LA, Miami, NYC over the Mavs cause Dallas ain't as exciting to be in. But for those players who want to win the places to be are apparently Dallas & OKC with a chance of Orlando being in the mix. Obviously there are other teams that are championship caliber (Boston, Denver, Minny) but they don't have the cap space to be players in player acquisition.
    Nico has turned Luka & Ky into Klay. Imagine he can do next year with those 3. You've already got people saying that Durant is gonna want to finish his career in Dallas. And why wouldn't the most notorious ring chaser want to come play for Dallas? But the real question is why would Dallas want him? Especially in this CBA.

    Honestly, the thing I’m most excited about is that when there’s an injury and Kyrie or Luka need a few games off, Dallas isn’t going to fall off a cliff. You’re going to have a starting lineup of Luka/Klay/Naji/PJ/lively or the same lineup with Irving instead and that’s a lineup that can win basketball games, even against the better teams of the league.
    Yes, they’re going to be a bear against even the Best teams because the amount of scoring depth they have is so much better than what they had last year when they still won 50 games.
    The playoffs are always a crapshoot but at least the team is going to be exciting to watch all season long and it won’t be just to watch Luka get highlights.

    He got me excited about Naji with the info about him having to start a few years ago and averaging like 15. Good to know that he stepped up whenever he got an opportunity for a bigger role. The moment wasn't too big for him. And I feel like Dallas could use a few of those kind of players cause I feel like the Finals was a bit too big for a LOT of our players.
    PJ, DJJ, THJ, Hardy were no-shows. You add in the fact that Maxi was clearly injured and I feel like Kyrie may have hit a wall & that's how you get smoked in the Finals. He hadn't had a run of that many games in a row in like a full DECADE!!!

      Hardy and PJ had moments, but more bad than good. THJ... we all know
      And DJJ couldn't hit but one 3 in 4 games.

    When all three are on the floor together they will space out the defense and they will set picks for each other and there will be a lot of movement. Hopefully Luka will learn to take less contact by not driving as much that way he can be closer to 100% healthy in the playoffs. Luka and Kyrie will look to get the ball to Klay at least ten times per game for open three-point shots. The trio will average around 80 points so, if Lively and Gafford can average 20 points at the center position, that adds to 100 per game. Then if PJ, Marshall, Grimes, Exem, Hardy, Prosper, Kleber, and Powell can contribute another 30 points per game we will rolling on the offense. Then if everybody puts in the effort on the defense this is a team that can win 65 regular season games and make another deep playoff run. Winning a championship all depends on Luka, Kyrie, and Klay being as close to 100% as possible when the playoffs start.

    OkC needed size. That’s a given. But I agree with AD here that Hardenstein doesn’t fit in with the offense they played last year. You can’t play 5 out when he’s on the floor. I mean, you can, but the defense isn’t going to bother covering him. How are they going to modify their offense to make him playable? Not sure, but I think it’s one of the biggest factors that will determine how far Dallas can get in the playoffs.

    i'm i the only one that feels like there is a big chance that both naji and klay start over pj? naji and pj are pretty similar but naji can be a better POA defender and shoots better + having a better passer than pj can be benefitial when the starting lineup had klay Thompson and kyre... naji with his phisical tool cloud fit better than pj... i am not a big pj fan, and i know he was very important for our team but we got him to be the 3rd scorer in the lineup that could defend... he did that but now that we have klay we may need a better defender and a better comnective passer rather than a better scorer (pj was very efficient as a scorer but not a good passer and not a good 3pt shooter other than the okc series)

    Maybe someday Luka might take a summer off to focus on conditioning/rest/team-building & injuries. You know...make Dallas his full-time job.

      1000% Agree. I'm hoping rn that his team doesn't make it out of groups. The team should have sat him down after the run thanked him for his toughness and leadership and then told him to take time to recover this off-season and work on his game.

      I'm tired of the international stuff. It's EVERY SUMMER for God's sake. Euros. World Cup. Olympics....always something. Don't care. It's getting old. If I was Dallas ownership I'd be pissed. His KNEES WERE BLEEDING.

      If y'all don't think playing high level basketball games makes you a more conditioned athlete than you don't know ball let alone anything about being an athlete. Y'all are just repeating the same narratives over and over. He was hurt, clearly. He wasn't tired or out of shape. He wasn't the one who needed oxygen on the sidelines to finish games. Him sitting on the couch playing overwatch instead of an Olympic game won't put him in better shape in the season. The dude was the MVP by most metrics and y'all complaining about how he needs to be in better shape 🤦🏾‍♂️

    • @gabriel-uc1uz
      @gabriel-uc1uz 11 วันที่ผ่านมา +5

      @LonghornsLegend nah fam I want him to rest, recover, then work on his game. Not just enter the season as the same player. I love Luka he is top 3 in the league but if he wants to win he can improve.
