2:18 this one was cool, because in-game of F&H 2, There's a part where Marina orders a drink, Daan (Got a role of bartender in the bar) asks her about licenses to confirm she's adult, but she didn't have any of'em. So, Daan refused to give her Drink. suggests her to drink a milk. that's why only Marina is holding cup of milk, while others are holding wines. Good job!
Kind of ironic considering the games takes place in a mirror Europe, and most of the drinking ages in European countries is 16, and some places wouldn’t even ask your age anyways.
@@SulAdica Yeah I just kinda assumed middle/Eastern Europe. Back in the 40s it was a general cure for a cold to drink whiskey, even for children, so I don't think there would be an issue with Marina drinking but it was a cool reference
This really captures that feeling of isolation, suffering through the early game alone, finding a party of genuinely great people, then waking up and finding the bar empty. On top of how good your art is, this whole video was amazing.

The fact that people can get attached to very minor antagonists in Miro's games speaks volumes about how good his character and game design are. You get invested because the enemies look cool/horrifying, and because you have to actually take your time and soak in each encounter to figure out how to survive it.
Something about Karin seeing the Valkyrie off in the island on the beach, especially as during that scene in game she compares herself to a valkyrie, is really haunting. It's almost like the Valkyrie is calling to her, it's really sad.
Amazing animatic, made me realize that yeah, Daan is the most fleshed out contestant in termina. The best parts were definetly Karin sitting at the old town coast, staring off and seeing herself as the valkyrie in the distance, and Tanaka *not* getting beheaded by needles in the bunker, lol.

Absolutely! This, the scenes with Marcoh and Tanaka, and the panels showing what happened to Olivia, Marina, O'sa, Karin, August and Tanaka are my favourite parts! The music makes it perfect.
This is amazing!! I love how everyone has their signature colour, it really makes them stand out against the dark + dreary environment (also the fact that Daan doesn't have his own colour is VERY interesting)
YESS IM SO HAPPY SOMEONE NOTICED! :] i mainly used signature colours to give each character a link between them and their moonschorched form, but also cuz i wanted it to represent their souls in a way, and since daan has the "blank" one, i felt id be cool for hime to have no colour of his own at all :]
I adore this! The fact that every Termina contestant has a colour, and even when they turn into a monster, they have colour. But Daan does not have a colour. He's blank, nothing, empty. Even being an atrocity is better than having nothing, being no one. A monster has purpose at the very least, Daan is wiped. But as time goes on, Daan almost gains a colour. Red. Everything he touches falls into the red abyss, the other contestants' colours, their purpose, is stripped away and replaced with red, red, red. Endless and consuming. Even Karin Marina and Olivia have splashes of it the longer they stay with Daan. Daan is just another creature, before his moonscorch. That's why his moonscorch is so much like him before his transformation. He was always a monster. Even Pocketcat Daan has no colour, when even pre-Daan Pocketcat had colour in his eyes. Daan is just as empty as the train they arrived on, just as pointless as the early game enemies who are destined to die over and over. Termina did not change Daan, didn't strip him of anything as there was nothing to remove in the first place. You've illustrated this beautifully, and I don't know if it was intentional or not, but this is my interpretation!
& it's unbelievable how well you portrayed the whole fear and hunger experience. I had to pause the video every second to thoroughly examine what happens and oh my god it's so good. Truly one of the best animatics I've seen
god this is so good. every contribution to this fandom is amazing but I love the way you convey the mood of waking up and having everyone gone just to win. it's a story that's likely to have no happy ending and I love to see that conveyed with such great art and talent.
Everything about this is incredible. So many niche references and the art style is so edible. I especially loved the parts where Needles changed into Daan's father-in-law and Daan's shadow
i find how you colored things in this animatic very interesting a lot of the more otherworldly characters have yellow somewhere in them and every single contestant has a piece of clothing in a specific color Karin has a brown vest Marina has a pink dress and ribbons Marcoh has a green jacket the only contestant with no color to them Is Daan the blank soul the only color he has is from the blood he is covered in i find that a cool detail

Love it. Not only it's a great speedrun through the iconic locations and moments of Termina, You show the good, the bad and the sad parts of the story (tragic backstories, budding friendships, ultimate fates of the heroes). All of it to a great track. Choosing Dan as the protag was a great idea, too. To him it was a tragic wild goose chase, leaving him with more questions than answers.
I keep rewatching this. I love it, love how dynamic it feels at times and how it slow downs at others. I also really like the emphasis on red shoes of the girl from the begining and the shot of Daan's legs after he wakes up having "lost" them. And of course the shot with Karin before she moonscorches, this whole animatic just keeps getting better and better in my eyes as I rewatch it, you did such a great job! Edit: legs not leg
This is the best animatic i've ever seen, everything is perfect about this one. Despite not being near the style of F&H, your style just captures the vibe of horrible horrible rotten thing that is Fear and Hunger's heart.

Remembering the absolute disparity between the first playthrough I had on my first run and some of the insane shit Ive done on my later runs is so odd to me, cus it can make Termina either a tragic tale of a characters downfall and loss through a twisted game they could never have begun to plan for or "PUNCH MAN KILLS GOD". Also, the animation on this was stellar, fantastic work on the shot composition, posing and expressive nature of each drawing, and the story of what i assume was your first full playthrough.
I like how the song's lyrics coincide with the events on screen. The distortion, disproportions and curves make a really cool style. Feeling depressed after such a representation of Daan's destiny, it's almost kind of a film adaptation

I really love the detail of daan not having a color aka him having a blank soul also representing all his trauma sadness and depression also another thing he rarely smiles at the scene where they're at the bar everyone seems to be having a good time except for him sad.

I watched this animatic first before I even knew anything about Termina and I thought it was a very cool video. Then I started playing the game and I kept watching this animatic every so often, catching new amazing references every time the more I played the game. Now that I have finished it for the first time, and I can see A LOT of genuinely amazing references and gorgeous portrayals of in-game moments, this is my absolute favourite animatic ever. I just love it so much, the way you show your own version of how the story might have gone while sticking to the canon and all the stuff that may happen in the game, it's genuinely my favourite piece of fan media when it comes to Funger!!

absolutely enamoured with this animatic, especially the scene with Karin by the water. I think Daan is my favourite character to play in Termina because he's so intrinsically linked to the actual story, and the shot of Pocketcat on the train was SO good!

Hey, I dont know If you hear this alot so it might sound a bit weird but i'd like to thank you for making this animatic. It gave me alot of inspiration and made me determined to just have fun drawing. I was struggling in drawing ever since i started a couple of months ago and was already thinking of how to find my own artstyle and how it needed to be completely detailed and perfect eventually making me frustrated that maybe i would never achieve what people said i should look forward in my drawings making me feel even more stress and pressure, but that changed when I stumbled upon this animatic. Look, i dont want to get into too much detail (especially since I think you already heard all these things) but your artstyle is so simple yet beatiful I love the little yet effective use of colors that you do in your drawings and the way that you portray the tale of the game through your art is phenomenal, it all looks so nice that its hard to pick only one thing, not only that but the music that you choose really is chill and lovely. It all gave me a big respect and admiration for this animatic and you. It made me realize that It doesnt need to be perfect or overly complicated it can be simple yet subtely incredible, I too want to create someday drawings and animatics for people to enjoy and i hope i will be able to entertain and make people happy with my art like you did to me, It might sound a little bit exaggerated but It really isnt its all very sincere. Also another thing, I did not know anything about Fear and hunger and actually had great hate of It but this animatic made me give termina a try and i soon learned that the game is actually really good! making me finally understand everything on this animatic and enjoying it even more. @@dfprod. I guess i hated funger before because the only thing i heard about It was how much gore and SA was on it. I know its kinda silly for some but I am not the biggest fan of this stuff It just made it feel disgusting, and the fact that it was the only thing my friends talked about and showed me of the game was not helping at all. But, after playing it i realized that not only i didnt care much about that most of the times, it's actually kinda overhyped in that aspect at least in termina. Also the whole lore, characters and gameplay especially replayability made it worth the experience.

Remembering the absolute disparity between the first playthrough I had on my first run and some of the insane shit Ive done on my later runs is so odd to me, cus it can make Termina either a tragic tale of a characters downfall and loss through a twisted game they could never have begun to plan for or "PUNCH MAN KILLS GOD". Also, the animation on this was stellar, fantastic work on the shot composition, posing and expressive nature of each drawing, and the story of what i assume was your first full playthrough.

I watched this animatic first before I even knew anything about Termina and I thought it was a very cool video. Then I started playing the game and I kept watching this animatic every so often, catching new amazing references every time the more I played the game.
Now that I have finished it for the first time, and I can see A LOT of genuinely amazing references and gorgeous portrayals of in-game moments, this is my absolute favourite animatic ever. I just love it so much, the way you show your own version of how the story might have gone while sticking to the canon and all the stuff that may happen in the game, it's genuinely my favourite piece of fan media when it comes to Funger!!

Hey, I dont know If you hear this alot so it might sound a bit weird but i'd like to thank you for making this animatic. It gave me alot of inspiration and made me determined to just have fun drawing. I was struggling in drawing ever since i started a couple of months ago and was already thinking of how to find my own artstyle and how it needed to be completely detailed and perfect
eventually making me frustrated that maybe i would never achieve what people said i should look forward in my drawings making me feel even more stress and pressure, but that changed when I stumbled upon this animatic. Look, i dont want to get into too much detail (especially since I think you already heard all these things) but your artstyle is so simple yet beatiful I love the little yet effective use of colors that you do in your drawings and the way that you portray the tale of the game through your art is phenomenal, it all looks so nice that its hard to pick only one thing, not only that but the music that you choose really is chill and lovely. It all gave me a big respect and admiration for this animatic and you. It made me realize that It doesnt need to be perfect or overly complicated it can be simple yet subtely incredible, I too want to create someday drawings and animatics for people to enjoy and i hope i will be able to entertain and make people happy with my art like you did to me, It might sound a little bit exaggerated but It really isnt its all very sincere. Also another thing, I did not know anything about Fear and hunger and actually had great hate of It but this animatic made me give termina a try and i soon learned that the game is actually really good! making me finally understand everything on this animatic and enjoying it even more. So all i can say is Thank you, i really hope you can make more of these but I wouldnt like to pressure you or anything take your time and relax you deserve it. @@dfprod. I guess i hated funger before because the only thing i heard about It was how much gore and SA was on it. I know its kinda silly for some but I am not the biggest fan of this stuff It just made it feel disgusting, and the fact that it was the only thing my friends talked about and showed me of the game was not helping at all. But, after playing it i realized that not only i didnt care much about that most of the times, it's actually kinda overhyped in that aspect at least in termina. Also the whole lore, characters and gameplay especially replayability made it worth the experience.
