One other thing that is important. Don’t combine all your ender pearls with blaze powder once you get them. Make 2 or 3, find the portal, and then make just a enough to fill it with eyes. This can save lots of ender pearls which can be very helpful for the dragon fight.
What about the literal hundreds of enderman in the end?

just a few other tips;
- get a golden helmet instead of boots, so you don't have a loss in armor
- it's better to fight with an axe as opposed to the sword, if you train yourself in jump-hits then you will get the most damage
- wooden axes do the same damage as stone and iron axes, but the durability and attack speed are lower
- to get less damage from the beds against the ender dragon, put a block down next to the bed
wooden axes dealed 7att damage iirc, stone onwards all do 9, and netherite do 10
i think wooden deals less than stones, stone do same as iron and diamond but attack is faster (not completely sure)
I got an enchanting table within 2 hours, that's the fastest I've ever gotten it. UHC proves to be useful when getting ores

One small detail that is overlooked for being common knowledge is that you deal crit/extra damage when jumping, but the KEY word is, when you are falling
meaning if you are fighting the End Dragon is good to keep this in mind and hit her with jump crits on the way down, the timer on the melee bar is the same so is good to master this as much as mastering the water bucket safe landing.
Even when just walking down a block, you can deal extra damage, since you are technically going down, even if you are looking UP the crit damage applies
#24 is one I only learned from speedrunners. I would always prep like 3+ stacks of arrows which took forever, but with this you don't need nearly as many, and it's FAR less likely to instantly kill you than misplacing the explosive beds.

I think the point it that if there’s some exposed in a cave, you don’t have to wait until you get iron first. I think tnt used to destroy ores/diamonds and now it doesn’t!

A lot of these tricks can be skipped/done easily if you look for a bastion in the nether. You can trade string for beds, pearls for the end, gold blocks are easily accessible if you know how to look for them (easiest in a bridge bastion) and the chests at the top can give you golden carrots, more gold blocks, and sometimes even iron blocks. Also you can get obsidian that you can use to blind travel after you get your blaze rods.
You should’ve included the fact that axes for the dragon do more damage. Diamond axes can get about 8 hits? till death.
Only for java in bedrock swords are stronger
@@tracieburch2996 yes cause bedrock still has the Java 1.8 physics. Tho I heard they will change it to the latest Java physics in 1.17

I haven't seen people mention this, but collect dead bushes as you go along in a desert for sticks and wood conversation, so you save a few seconds by not using a log for wood, plus the crafting time.

Hey Skip! Great vid. My only problem is that you mixed and matched strategies from various versions. For example you mentioned the pillar strat but that isn’t used post 1.8. However, you say it like it’s commonly used in 1.16. Villager trading for pearls is a 1.14 strat. Just something to think about for future videos to make the video more organized. Have a good one.

me: use a lava bucket and burn the animals and even kill them without using weapons
and the meat burns up

Here’s a tiny tip: Snag any smithing tables from villages in case you find any pigeon bastions, because you could find a netherite ingot in a chest, have a few brief seconds of euphoria, and realize you have nothing to put it on your tools with. Just be prepared.

Yeah I've started speedrunning but clearly I shouldn't be because I always die either to piglins if I find a bastion and mine the gold, then promptly become an idiot, or I'll die to blazes. I suck at Minecraft. I'm like mid-game in my bedrock world (Trying to get good enchants on my Netherite tools and armor, have silk touch and a general purpose pickaxe) and like early game on java (about to get maybe 10-20 more diamonds before I hunt for netherite). On both worlds most things I've built are either dirt or netherrack. I also literally bought the game barely 2 months ago. Yes I shouldn't be speedrunning. Yes I do it anyways. No I haven't even had a successful attempt yet.
Somehow I wrote this much, I'm so sorry, I didn't realize, I basically just briefly went over my whole history with Minecraft.

On manhunt servers there's kind of a meta around EXACTLY how many logs to break.
If you're decently fast at crafting, getting two logs can get you a sword very quick.
But... axes are more powerful and let you take the crafting bench with you.
No matter what though, you shouldn't punch more than 3 logs. Make a wooden axe and then use that if you need extra wood for boats, doors, towering, shield, extra tools, whatever.
I found the most overpowered village ever: 3 Fletcher's and 1 cleric
I found one with 4 blacksmiths
In bedrock there's one with 8 blacksmiths

I have found out a couple things i figured out while watching people speedrun. 1: they are always looking for lava to make a portal so why not go to the nether to get it. IT'S EVERYWHERE. 2 You need enderpearls so go to the end to get them. Endermen everywhere so they aren't hard to find.
Im assuming this is a joke but just incase: They need to get to the nether via lava pool, so they cant go to the nether to make a nether portal.

Instead of using flint and steel for getting cooked meat, you can actually use lava buckets instead. Lava buckets don't break.

2. Gathering flint first thing - arrow and flint and steel
3. Get bed from village - kill enderdragon
4. Hay bales to give u a huge dose of food
5. Kill iron golem to get iron
6. Use flint and steel to kill animals
7. Go to desert to find temple - cool stuff in it
8. Use tnt to blow up blocks to get blocks quickly
9. Trade with villagers - fletcher
10. Bucket portal - using water bucket to build the nether portal
11. Ruined portal - watch out for crying obsidian
12. Mine nether gold
13. Make some golden boots so the pig Lin’s won’t attack you
14. piglin pearl - trade with the piglin for some ender pearl
15. Placing some easy to mine blocks to find ur way back
16. Kill blazes in a closed room to Mae ur life easier
17. Only get 8 blaze rods make ur life easier
18. Pillaging respawning - killing ur self to respawn
19. Finding horses to go faster
20. Using subtitles to find the end room faster

This is probably deeper than any of you asked for-- like, bedrock deep-- but, the tip about raiding a Village during a speed-run led to me thinking:
Would you rather:
exploit every resource, and lose morals along the way, but what you earned won't matter in the end because you'll delete it once you loot The End
or
build a memorable lasting world you can enjoy for a long time, if not your whole life, but you gain literally everything slowly by time, and the Villagers even love you

The above is metaphorical. You deserve the highest level of XP if you understand its true meaning.
I kinda agree kinda don't, the world is made for the player, they should do what they think is best and if they really want to make something worth remembering then they can use any means nesisary to do that, the villagers won't even care if their village is blown up with a button press.

Tip: to find iron quicker go to 53 - 50 blocks as you block height above void and it works IF you’re in oak biome
One time I tried trading with piglins and I had made a lot of progress in the game at the time, so I had about 50 gold ingots. I decided that gold wasn't really useful so I gave all of it to a piglin in the nether. I then proceeded to receive 0 ender pearls.

One thing I hadn't considered until I looked into it is that piglins not only give ender pearls, *but quite a lot of LEATHER.* If you're making bookshelves, that can be quite a bit faster than working up a cow farm or scouring the world for hoglins, llamas, horses, and cows.

Lol by a golem I don't think you did that work use iron golems as raid defenders let them die and get iron makin golem take 4 block means 36 ingots you are loss in killin golem
You can get more gold by using silk touch to take the gold ore and shoving it into a smelter. It rewards you with bars instead of nuggets.
I doubt that you find a silk touch pickaxe in a speedrun. Even if you do, it's much faster just to go to a bastion and trade

Another great tactic is to not go to find the nether fortress, but bring a fishing rod because near the nether fortress it is common to find blaze rods along with cooked fish which will also help
Yeh the bed strat is sometimes always useful when destroying the Ender Dragon and I like the bread crumb trail is cool

A really ineffective way to mine is to put a Dinnerbone tag on the wither and punch it in full armour. The explosions will make a diagonal tunnel down. I'm not sure if it still works, but try it.
You can also put trapdoors in front of you when killing the dragon because they will avoid most is not all the damage
