Hey there- sorry for the late response!! So I use a website called pirateship which requires you to enter in the width/length, and weight of the package so you’ll need a scale. It automatically calculates the cheapest price and it’s always either first class or priority! Hands down the best shipping website I’ve ever used and it’s completely free!
Also I will set up an etsy page and instagram page. Etsy seems to be really popular these days and will definitely be worth using for nicer clothes I find
I met a woman who I go to school with who only thrifts and resells at flea markets, which is what I want to do because I won't have to worry about shipping costs. I am going to thrift the clothes and go with her to a booth that she will pay for and I will give her half of what I make for my clothes initially so I can get started. Then, I plan on thrifting and selling my clothes locally. I live very close to a downtown area, so I will bring some of my furniture and set up my own little outside shop on the lawn area close by. Where I live there are tourists for half the year and I would be selling clothes for way cheaper than local upscale clothing businesses. I think I could make at least $50 a day doing that

I had been thinkin why am not gettin any sale or sold items even if my photos are good. I think, I was too slow on promoting my stuff and didnt to follow enough to show what Im selling.
This helping me so much in understanding how to sell thrift clothing, I just recently closed a women's clothing with old and new style clothing and I'm trying to sell everything asap because I'm paying too much for the storages I have 2 full of clothing, shoes and stuff :(

How do u do ur customize filter what if i taken a pic each of the item but it have different lighting because how my camera settings react with different color surely even i use the same filter it can have different results

I sell on eBay but am trying to transition to instagram As well so I can vouch for the fact that patience is key. If you’re not patient being a reseller is a waste of time.
how do taxes work when you sell through depop? do you consider yourself "self-employed" and run your own business or consider it more of a hobby and just pay income tax? jw because i want to start up a shop with my friend but i'm kinda clueless when it comes to that lol
candace i’m not sure but on depop you wouldn’t have to worry about taxes until you hit 200 transactions or $20000 of sales, that’s when paypal reports to the IRS

Hey! So I order poly mailers on amazon (I get a pack of 200 for like $15). Labels are super easy! I use pirateship.com for printing labels, it’s free and very user-friendly! All you need is a scale (I just bought a cheap kitchen scale from the store) to measure the ounces of your packages. Then you just print them, tape then on and drop them off at the post office:)

Simply grace keep trying, I only buy stuff that I think people will like , or if they don’t I can keep and use for myself, I also clean them and make sure. They work 🙂

actually I think a lot of girls are really into buying off small business shops because things are cheaper! that, and the fact that they can order from home and don't have to go out. it's actually been really great despite covid so far:)

why would you ever edit your pics of clothing that completely diminishes the effectiveness of what the clothes actually look like and will generate returns.
Danielle Mancuso clearly you haven’t looked at my account so let me correct you. the first photo is edited to match my feed, all the other photos in the slide for that item are all unedited to people can swipe to see the true color. thanks for your concern though!
make sure you invest in quality pieces of clothing, and make sure when you take photos of your clothes the images are well lit and clothing isn’t wrinkly. people will be more likely to want to purchase!
There is nothing wrong with selling stuff on instagram. But I think that re-selling thrifted clothes is not good for the economy. Most people go to thrift shops to get clothes that are affordable. But reselling for a higher price is minimizing the option for people who can't afford new clothing.

You can use adobe lightroom, it's a free app, very useful esp for adjusting colors of your photos

i’ve never shipped outside the US but if someone wants to purchase and would be okay with paying for shipping then i totally would! it can just be pricey
