The writers have been planning #Chalynn for a while. I don't really read it as Brook Lynn getting Chase in trouble but more so Chase getting himself in trouble by trying to help her. They'll get through this and either Chase will weather the storm and remain a Detective or find a new calling and path that better suits him.
I love this couple. I love how he stands up for her. That creep has been sexually harassing her , and no one but Chase had seemed to care.
