Algorithm is crazy. Your videos have been coming out at the right time between this tip, and the iWS when backing out of mist step. I was curious how players were doing both. Thank you. Now my next goal is to get his back+2 loop juggles consistent cause my timing is 🚮
Best thing you can do is practice your b2 loops in practice mode and set the bot to guard all and just practice the reps over and over again. Do it in 10 min incriments and you'll be there in no time.
I am still hitting the lab with the Mist Step cancels, but thank you for sharing your knowledge about the character with us. This truly helps a lot and I can't wait to get online at some point with my Lee. It's been a lot of work with the Mist Step cancel, but I am having a lot of fun just practicing (even if I get a bit frustrated sometimes 😅).
Great video with a lot of good info. I think one thing to take note of for the ch 444 combo is distance also plays a factor on how far you have to dash. If you tip them you have to dash farther and its a chance it wont pick up regardless.
I started playing Lee shortly after Tekken 7 came out. I used to do the pickup from d3->HMS very consistently back when I played Tekken 7 a lot. I got so used to pulling that off thst I never thought much of it. I hadn't touched Tekken 7 for quite a while, I didn't even get to fight any of the later characters added to the game. Now in T8 I noticed I haven't been as consistent with picking people up from d3HMS, I thought maybe I'm just a terrible Lee main but hearing you say it's kinda tricky while missing it a few times in practice makes me feel a lot better haha. I've also seen a lot of really high level Lee players here on TH-cam drop a lot of combos in real matches, it's a really good reminder of just how tricky Lee's timing can be sometimes. BTW, I never actually realized his hand could be used as a visual cue for HMS pickup, I could just sort of "feel" it. I'll keep this in mind for sure.
I've found that depending on the axis you hit it, you actually have to micro dash for the pickup to happen as Lee ends up a little far away from the opponent
2:31 you can crouch cancel by doing b,b+3,3 instead of u,b+3,3 The timing to do b,b input is the same as the HMS b3,3 Imo, it is the easiest one once you get the timing
Dude thank you so much for the tip on d3. I thought you had to press db input to cancel hitman before the b3+3. No wonder i had it so inconsistant. I could swear you had to do it this way in t7 but i cant remember.
I've found the crouch cancel into b+3,3 much easier to perform with a backdash than up input. Since Lee doesn't have b,b+3 you can just tap b to buffer it before d+3 recovers then link b+3,3 and he'll be standing because of backdash input.
I've noticed FF4 gives you a very easy pickup if you sidestep left first - but I've never been able to get the opportunity to hit an opponent with it off-axis like that in a real match. Not sure how you can set that up effectively.
One thing to note, when crouch cancelling for some of the combos that you're left in crouch, I actually prefer pressing back instead of up, as it's the same input required for b3,3. For me my brain just breaks when trying to crouch cancel with the up input for these combos. So you do bb3,3 and it should do the same.
For the D3, I have noticed the hitman one was easier for me as well but would going into hitman overall be better after D3? Like say the opponent blocks D3, what could I do in hitman to beat them? Since I can’t instantly start blocking Or should I try to practice without Hitman (pickup combo) and if they block just play defense? Or could I trap into DF1? Any tips for BB4 pickup? I hit that a good amount in games since it’s homing but just cannot get the pickup to save my life.
Bb4 pickup is microdash, just requires practice! And also if your d3 gets blocked youre getting launched lol that move is -15 in a stance and like -17 with no stance
thanks for this tutorial, i was having lots of problems with uf34 thinking it was like t7 and ch44~4. But i wanna ask, I've seen some people do b11f after the b33 in the magic 4 combo, other than the b11f having a weird timing i just cant get the b1 after mist step, got any tips on that?
You are literally the best lee chanel ive come across bro can you make a what to do in the neautral just your general gameplan with lee what moves you like to throw out etc?
Try checking out my best moves video or my gameplay videos! In those i go into the moves i like to use, and in the gameplay videos i commentate my thoughts so you can hear in real time what im thinking to try and adapt with lee! I hope those help, if not let me know what i could do better!
@@supercamacho774 yeah your commentating videos are so good currently watching them right now i hope you blow up bro youre really fun and helpful to watch❤️
2:17 I saw someone online saying they crouch cancel with b,b3,3 and they get it consistently. Saw someone else call BS, try it, and then get amazed when it was working consistently. Need to try it out myself now (thought it was a HMS cancel with bb, but only just realised they meant regular crouch cancel with bb). Will edit on if it worked out for me.
Hey, i got a lee question. Since t7 is use im from time to time and i have problems using b+4 out of movement, when i use it out of backdash or an awkward back input, that i held previously, i always get back,back+4 . Is there any like.. trick or shortcut that can be used, or do i have to always cancel my movement into forward, sidestep or stay in neutral for a moment?
I had problems with this as well, for a while i was just side stepping into b4 but then i realized my b4s stopped working because i was telegraphing when i would do them. Ive started pressing b4 like FB4 (forward, back, 4) and my b4s started working again. Hope this helps!
This is a little unrelated but would you consider the "Back Handspring" move a replacement for korean backdash and do you use it frequently in matches? I've been learning korean backdash for some time now but the distance back handspring gives is pretty close to the same distance you can get with backdash cancelling or at least it's somewhat close, is it useful? ._.
Eh.. i only use it to show off or get alot of distance when i have a life lead and get a knockdown, usually i just stick with back dashing because its alot safer and you can instantly change your gameplan, if youre backflipping youre stuck in it. Hope this helps!
Wtf you just changed my life, the amount of times i hit people with uf34 and just stand there thinking the combos over is wild thank you
Shoutouts to the guys mentioning b b 3 3 to do the pickup, found that a lot easier than crouch cancelling or hitman
This is the first I'm hearing about d3 without the hitman transition, great info thanks!
Coach Camacho at it again with another banger video. Thank you so much for this! Putting all the new Lee mains on your back.
This is exactly the niche information and aspiring Lee player needs. Thank you so much.
i swear to god u are reading my mind, camacho strikes again with the perfect timing ⭐

Yeah thank you man super helpful stuff @supercamacho774
For the down 3 , you could get it if you do d3, back back 3 3 .
Also true! I didn't know that before making the video haha but ive had people tell me which is nice!

[FACEPALMED] I still did micro dash pickup after uf3,4. I even struggled feeling the pickup window was different.
I've found that depending on the axis you hit it, you actually have to micro dash for the pickup to happen as Lee ends up a little far away from the opponent
that figner tip is very useful made me pick up d3 to hitman more consistently
side note, you can also crouch cancel by micro-dashing forward, harder but helps with consistency at max range.
everything besides magic 4 is really consistent i would say!

Weirdly enough I think the Just Frame pick up is super easy comparied to the ➡️➡️ 4?
Perhaps people just have different timing sense by default.

What is the combo after acid rain? I cant find it anywhere but in mmswe video he says you can get 40 something damage from it.
After acid rain do ub3 or blazing kick!

Can you do a tutorial on how to do just frame slide and also acid rain please
