I think, i make this night some with my volcas, the circuit and the new PO 32 teenage Engineering. You are the biggest inspiration for me. But the wizard are you! Exclusively! Thanks for your great Sound! Peace!
+ollilaboratories I know it's like a drug...I'm downgrading mate...Instead of making music...I'm spending time learning new gears...I even sold my op1...I get confused with too many....nice one
Damn I love your tracks Olli. This flows really nicely. What are you using as master clock? You know, when I try to think of a happy place, it's your studio haha! Where does he get those wonderful toys!?
Yo you are soo strong 💪 man ! I am like a child when I see your videos ! Please, someone can explain me the rôle of the Roland mx 1? Amazing prestations, an explication 111 bpm ? Elekpeace 🤙🙃🤩
+sunil solanki thanks mate ..! Oh on power, not magic going on really, just simple power strips with all the stuff connected in as an optimal manner as possible (given cable length and gear location).. cheers
Nice track that moves through space and time :-) Question: what VJ software are you using? Also, is the Strymon a master effect or do you use it on particular tracks/instruments? thx
hey buddy , top music :) I was thinking of getting the novation circuit to complement my basic set up (analogue keys and microkorg xl) what are your thoughts on the circuit groove box used primarily for beats?
It is a hell of a lot of rehearsing prior each take, I can assure you there are some proper misses and cursing on the takes that don't end up on the tube :D cheers !
Great work as always! Did you recently add the Presonus to your kit, or haven't I noticed it before? Your mix does sound a tad nicer in this one. We've got just about the same gear list lol Also - what are the two little boxes to the left of your Microbrute? the video is too dark to pick it out.
+Ranz Adamson thanks man..! yeah, just added it to my setup... the old behringer didnt cut it anymore, too few channels, plus i wanted to be able to record multiple tracks so the 16.0.2 was really a no brainer for me. Those two boxes, the bottom one is the microgranny (not used on this track), the other one is a prototpye synth, s3a 8 bit syntehsizer,. cheers !
+Ranz Adamson The S3a is actually the synth engine in the new Roland A01 boutique controller, the one i have is just the synth part, and was never released as is :)
Nice work again man 😊 hey Olli how you use that zoom pedal and I mean for which synth and what parameters. I have it too and i don't get good sound out of it. I'm asking this so ai can try it if its broken and if not. And if it is not broken I'm the one who sucks 😃😃.
+Discophone_ the zoom G3 is not used on this track, but FYI i use two zoom ms70CDRs for a variety of reverb and delay FX for the ms20 and microbrute. The G3 is really nice for vanilla delays and reverbs, connect your monosynth to the input and use the stereo FX, to make the sound shimmer, cheers !
+Jack Schlotthauer VJ software is resolume, i am currently reviewing it to see if it fits my needs.. its a tad expensive, but resolume are nice enough to provide a fully working demo with the only drawback of the text RESOLUME appearing on the screen.. hehe, luckily o can post edit that tout from my vids :) cheers !
If you were stranded on an deserted Island with ONE synth that you currently own, which one would you choose? (And pretend there's electricity on this Island, work with me here LOL :) )
Oh man … I'm deeply conflicted about this one … On the one hand it's another damn impressive - yet uncommonly cheerful - arrangement; on the other hand I strongly dislike the synth sounds on the Circuit (thin, plasticky, 'glossy': doesn't blend in with the rest of the mix); also the patch choice on the System-1 is somewhat irritating and there seem to be way to many notes on the bass drum pattern… oh well, complaining about first world problems; and just my subjective perspective of course, but on this one I’m missing that dark BURG-esk atmosphere: low-pitched, crackling and creaking, endlessly swirling around one minor harmony …
+Petrus Barbatus Berolinensis please be conflicted.. i spit these tracks out without really planning that much, so all input is more than welcome, i do appreciate it. There are loads of things i can do post processing when i go edit he 16 tracks i recorded, so some of the levels are easy to fix.. :) on the dark atmosphere, i hear you.. i will be mixing and messing about to try and find a nice blend for the full length album, so dont worry.. it will be dark. cheers and thanks !
+Tony Donnelly thanks a lot man, glad you like the projection stuff... for me it becomes sort of an additional artistic expression to the music.. cheers, !
Absolutely brilliant! Didn't want it to end.
+Nilesong1 thanks man !!

Another one which makes one dream ... and it energize!
+Peter Luxus thanks a lot, appreciated !!
This is the new one man band concept. It has put many musicians out of work. It's the power of one individual. Rock on!
Brilliant music ! Fantastic and melodic soundscape ! Awesome work !
+Ralph Baumgartl VLog thanks a lot, much appreciated! cheers!

Damn I love your tracks Olli. This flows really nicely. What are you using as master clock? You know, when I try to think of a happy place, it's your studio haha! Where does he get those wonderful toys!?
thanks a lot!! :D TR8 is normally the master clock on all my tracks, then i just share it via a thru box to the other synths. cheers! :D :D
Yo you are soo strong 💪 man ! I am like a child when I see your videos ! Please, someone can explain me the rôle of the Roland mx 1? Amazing prestations, an explication 111 bpm ? Elekpeace 🤙🙃🤩
Brilliant work as always Olli. Question. How are you powering everything. It's a nightmare with all my pedals and desktop synths.
+sunil solanki thanks mate ..! Oh on power, not magic going on really, just simple power strips with all the stuff connected in as an optimal manner as possible (given cable length and gear location).. cheers
So lovely Sounds - GREAT ! Lol, how did you The Strymon Timeline saying "BURG"?
Keep rockin' my friend! Cheers
+DerBaxxter thanks a lot!! :) IT really simple, you can just edit the patch name in the timeline, this is what you see :) cheers !
It blows my mind how you keep track of every knob on every component in your system. I get lost just looking at the TR8
It is a hell of a lot of rehearsing prior each take, I can assure you there are some proper misses and cursing on the takes that don't end up on the tube :D cheers !
ollilaboratories Haha so you’re human after all :) I can totally relate to failing and cursing bit. Cheers!
Nice
+Sysex|Studio thanks !!

Those two boxes, the bottom one is the microgranny (not used on this track), the other one is a prototpye synth, s3a 8 bit syntehsizer,. cheers !
+ollilaboratories Cool - now you have me interested - where can I find out more about this s3a 8 bit prototype synthesizer? :)
+Ranz Adamson The S3a is actually the synth engine in the new Roland A01 boutique controller, the one i have is just the synth part, and was never released as is :)
Delux :D
Hi ! I like your music, but I'm looking for Album Movement 03 Thx
thanks!! video for movement 3 was never recorded, here is an audio outtake from the album single - music.ollilab.com/track/outo cheers
Nice work again man 😊 hey Olli how you use that zoom pedal and I mean for which synth and what parameters. I have it too and i don't get good sound out of it. I'm asking this so ai can try it if its broken and if not. And if it is not broken I'm the one who sucks 😃😃.

+ollilaboratories actually I mean tha Tms70CDR but hey thanks fo r advice, maybe i have to get that G3 😎😎😎
You are unreal
Oh Master yoda, tell us what you used for the VJ software?
+Jack Schlotthauer VJ software is resolume, i am currently reviewing it to see if it fits my needs.. its a tad expensive, but resolume are nice enough to provide a fully working demo with the only drawback of the text RESOLUME appearing on the screen.. hehe, luckily o can post edit that tout from my vids :) cheers !
Beware, this music attracts UFOs. They love it and so do I. Like moths to a flame.
If you were stranded on an deserted Island with ONE synth that you currently own, which one would you choose? (And pretend there's electricity on this Island, work with me here LOL :) )
Pure Ambient Drone oberheim 8 voice
I was NOT expecting that choice but very good one indeed!

+Tony Donnelly thanks a lot man, glad you like the projection stuff... for me it becomes sort of an additional artistic expression to the music.. cheers, !
+ollilaboratories yeah,no probs man,I like the effects, the flashy, strobey, shaky thing you've got going on is cool!!
