Yamakpah the pileated woodpecker and western larch

Yamakpah is the Ktunaxa name for the pileated woodpecker. This short clip from the film STILL LIFE FOR WOODPECKER shows how the woodpecker uses the western larch for his home in the forest. It tells of the importance to protect some of the last of the old growth western larch forests in north america.
