Have a most enjoyable (and safe) trip Spencer and I'm sure that we are all keen to see your photos and videos on your return.

There are acrylic clear nail polishes with very fine metal particles
, that when thinned should work as the Have Glass finish. I plan on bringing those raised portions down to almost nothing remains but the shape outlines.

    Spencer,
MRP has just come out with the HAVE GLASS paint. I haven't tried it yet but I'm sure it's accurate. Their colors are amazing. Love reading your magazine every month. Keep up the great work!

Hiram, do you have a link to that paint? I'm curious about it. Thanks.

Never mind, found it. They are calling it Have Gloss.

its two part - you use MRP 280 "Camoflage Grey" then MRP278 "Have Glass - Special Matt Varnish" on top of it. It will end up flat but have that metallic sheen to it too. imgur.com/a/MotRt

You know, to be totally realistic, you're going to need to take 10 times as long as it really should, spend excessive amounts on aftermarket parts, and then pull it apart and re-do it several times. :)
Seriously though- it does look to be an interesting build.

Thankfully, there are no after market parts yet.

Hi, don't really want to nitpick on my first post but I've noticed you have referred to the front of a gas turbine engine in a number of your videos as the "turbine" but, hopefully, you know that's the "Compressor" you can see down the intake right? I got to see the number 1 & 2 Australian F-35 aircraft for the first time at Avalon Airshow a few weeks ago and now that kit is on it's way too!

I should actually call them "fan" blades, but in the heat of the moment I tend to use a lazy shorthand and call them all turbine blades, despite knowing that a jet engine has 'fan', 'compressor' and 'turbine' blades, and in that order!
