I'm gonna upgrade to the 17 pro max after using samsung since the iphone 4. I loved my iphone 4, but I liked the nice screens samsung had. In the past few years, apple really reduced the bezel on the screens and they added high refresh rate screens on the pro models. Android really doesn't have the better screens anymore unless you're a person who really can't stand the dynamic island. So to me, the iphone 17 pro max represents the iphone finally being on par with Android flagships in the ways that it didn't used to be. Then you throw in the fact that apple has always had the better phone processors and software optimization. THEN throw in the fact that they're upping the ram to 12gb. 17 pro max is the way to go. Not to say that the 16 pro max is bad at all, but I'm so glad I waited. I think you're gonna have a baller upgrade, and I'm gonna have a good time using an iphone again.
I like it. Personally, I've been waiting to switch to iphone but the notch and camera array are so ugly, along with bezels that are huge compared to every other brand's flagship. But the 17 pro max is finally starting to look premium in my eyes.
@ I have some issues with iOS, but overall since I'm not using the freedoms of android anymore, I think it might suit my needs more. Apple shrinking the bezels on the last few models and this camera change along with the supposed 12gb of ram, I see no reason to stay with samsung anymore except their nice anti-glare coating which hopefully the 17 pro max has. Either way, Apple have finally modernized their phones and caught up in hardware features like screens, refresh rate, etc. They've always had an amazing processor and software optimization, so for me, the 17 pro max leaks look and sound awesome. I'm a huge fan of a new design. It's been YEARS
Not sure if the ever-increasing megapixels really upgrade our pictures. For dim light situations even Sony uses 12MP sensors on one of its absolute flagship camera models, because they just capture so much more light each with a larger pixel size.
If they make it so you can take landscape and vertical photos while you hold vertically that actually wouldn’t matter if the camera set up is like that. I don’t know why they can’t do that now?
I'm sure they could do that. It's a little unfortunate, because what the camera is seeing will appear smaller while in the camera app. It just feels a little jank to do it that way, but they certainly could.
It’s still a long way to go but it’s giving some great ideas as how it will look like. I’m confused about the new camera set up. But the 17 air is giving me some excitement. Apple should catch up with Samsung camera configuration otherwise they’ll be left behind, why they can’t do that? If other brands can do better than what we’re getting from Apple.
So will the main rear camera still not get the latest camera module that was promised but didn’t appear on the 15 Pro Max? Also what is the functional advantage the 3 rear cameras being horizontal rather than vertically aligned?
Can you tell when they remove the notch it’s even hard for developers to try to avoid notch & island all the time, on android you can play full screen games with out problem
It would seem to me that if you’re going to shoot movies you’d want to shoot landscape. How would those lenses react to that format? (Of course most uninformed will shoot movies in portrait mode - so it doesn’t matter) Gianni❤
With all of these rumors and leaks about the camera lenses being repositioned in a horizontal line, I wonder how that would make special videos and photos possible.
I really doubt the iPhone will have its cameras aligned horizonally across the top like that. At least as far up as they show it. They cant have cameras ontop of other things internally so putting them there means the selfie camera and face id sensors would need to either be put somewhere else or not exist. The pixel has a horizontal camera bar but theres room above it for the selfie camera, these leaks seem to think the cameras will be pushed right to the top which wouldnt be possible.
It’s funny how spatial video may be a “concern” for some people on how it’s going to work but I’m sure 99% of us users don’t care for that because we’re not spending $3000 for a Vision Pro😂 1:41
For Spacial video you would just have to record in landscape mode. Easy peasy. 😂 Or Apple will allow cameras to capture landscape in portrait mode. Like some Motorola phones.
I keep holding out upgrading my iPhone 13 Pro Max but keep getting disappointed… not sure any of it is worth the upgrade at the moment. Maybe the 18…. Not a fan of the snail pace innovation and minor upgrades
Leaving Dynamic Island as-is is definitely a downgrade. Apple probably won’t release a new Dynamic Island (or getting rid of it) until iPhone XX (IMO).
The problem is that Apple is charging double the price for their boring phones. I have the IPhone 16 pro max 1 tb and I can honestly say that this phone isn’t worth $1,300 especially when it doesn’t have much of the AI technology like they claimed or promised down the line with updates. Not impressive at all.
I have an iphone 13 pro max, my gf just got the iphone 16 pro, pirctures on my phone actually look better, iphone has completely stopped innovating and it doenst make sense to upgrade for 4-5 years now.

Do you think Apple should change the design for their iPhone?
It looks like google pixel 9
Yes
If it is actual tech progress...OK
yes i prefer a vertical camera design
They should be but not like this
I hope to upgrade this year finally, still rockin the 12 pro max

I’m so happy we finally have a new design. I don’t mind that it copies anyone I’m just happy it’s new
Same here, glad for something new (ish)
I want the iPhone 17 pixel pro max
😂
You’re not getting it. Go with the Pixel Galaxy S30 Pro Ultra instead.
Me to, looks so cool!
Lmfao 🤣🤣
lulz
I am definitely upgrading from iPhone 13 Pro to 17 Pro Max.
Nice one, you will love it
The rear cameras could rotate creating a holographic image and the sapphire camera capture button could double as a laser keyboard / trackpad emitter.
Good idea
I like the current iphone camera layout cause it’s unique to Apple and Apple using less titanium is the most upsetting part of all of this 🤧
The spatial video problem is simple: you’ll film in vertical orientation.
That’s it.
Thanks for this!
No problem

Honestly!!! Imma call so tired of the natural titanium and blue on the pros
I love your videos !
Wow! Amazing Phone👍
I’m going to try and hold off with my 15pm until they bring a green like the 13pm

That horizontal lens plate render doesn’t look too shabby. I am a bit worried, but hopefully Apple manages to make it look…🍏

Yup, forgot the 'pro' but I did correct myself about 3 seconds later
I'd avoid the iPhone 17 like the plague. While it may have some radical design changes .quality will be an issue , it's a lemon.
Aluminium downgrade they will try to sell as an upgrade ? Hopefully the phones don’t start bending again.
iPhone 17 Pixel

Perfect design if I’m being honest
