Shouka flies like that because of the shape of her tail flukes. These super high bows are normal for her lol. Katina usually only jumps high during evening shows or opening breaches.
+shamuj11 I wouldn't say that since when I see her splash or do depth charges (video below), she doesn't seem to be able to get better results than an orca with regular flukes or flukes that curl downward. I think all female orcas can jump that high, it's mostly a matter of whether or not they care to do so. I've seen Corky and Kasatka get serious air too but obviously not as common as when Katina and Shouka do it. th-cam.com/video/s0k0DVmdS8c/w-d-xo.html
shamuj11 Kiko is the free willy start And the famis killer wayls in the world and he is in ther And he is my favrit anmil and moves he is the one with the bent Dorsolfin. I LOVE HiM. he is the BEST and the BEST move star every
1:17 I thought corky and Ike were doing a bow and shouka was doing a belly breach but she turned out to be like orkid and katina doing that super high bow lol
I AM S H O O K ;-; Each whale has a unique pattern, personality etc. No orca has the same shaped eye patch, mouth chip and saddle patch. We tell them apart by looking at their patches and/or tail flukes. For example Shouka, she has tail flukes that curve upwards instead of downwards.
I guide myself mostly by their dorsal fins, except for Orkid - I can tell her apart by her head shape. Took a little while but I've got it more or less covered :P
Look at their dorsal fins and eye patches! For some orcas like Shouka, you can look at their flukes as well! Also, if you go see them often, it gets pretty easy to tell the difference.
Late answer but well I hope this helps: They all have their own distinct features, recognizing these 3 is easy: Shouka's dorsal bends a little, and her flukes point upwards instead of downwards. Ikaika's flukes are curled and his dorsal is flopping over (by 2014-2015 his fin bent just like Shouka's, the differences between them back then were the size, pecs and flukes. Now Ike's dorsal is more... identifiable lol). Corky just seems to have this distinct shape, her dorsal is very tall and completely upright and she has narrower eye patches than other orcas.
thats all you can feed them for that looks so little.. imagi.e when u train to workout you need all these proteins and. vitamins look how they have to put in to jump so high in that little ass tank
+jay bongato Those orcas are eating at least 100 pounds of fish a day and have their feedings spread throughout the day, so they're definitely eating more than we see in this video. Marine mammal facilities often also supplement vitamins in the fish given to the animals. Now that you've pointed it out though and I look again, it's interesting to note that the highest jumping orca was fed the most fish too.
Shouka just always has to outdo everybody, huh? Great video! Love seeing training sessions like this!

I have one question for you all....
HOW TF CAN YOU TELL THESE ORCAS APART???

How do trainers reconize the orcas?

Well, apart from dorsal fins, pectoral fins, flukes and stuff, if you spend that much time with an animal, you'd probably know each animal apart.
Omg shouka!!!

Who was the whale that jumped so high?
Shouka
