Thanks for a very helpful video! There is only one cat groomer in our city, and she is booked out 8 weeks! I'll be attempting to give our cat a lion cut myself for the first time. These tips are great to have.
I’m going to be clipping my Persian boy for his first summer this year, I can’t wait to see the result! 😁 would have loved to see a video of the process! Fingers crossed we get one in the future?
@@tsbonner yes! It went well, I’m a dog groomer and it was my first time styling my cat- I loved the result! 😆 thanks to my frequent bathing, drying and brushing- he was already very tolerant of the process. Since I’m Australian and it’s currently winter now, I’ll be giving him another haircut soon as we come into spring 😋
Why reverse? Please educate me😂 I'm under the assumption that it's easier to keep the skin tight🤔 I just think it comes out to short so I go with the grain but if it's better for them by all means💛

How did it go
My cat was diagnosed with diabetic neuropathy and can't groom himself so I am thinking of giving him this cut in hopes that it will help him. Thanks!
Very useful video! Thank you!
What kind of clippers? Mine must be garbage because my 9 blade guard still leaves her hair long unless I just don’t know how to use them
Thank you for such a helpful video!
Fantastic tips! Thank you Danelle 🙏
Thanks so much for a simple and clear video!
Your cat is so relaxed. I assume that's why you used him/her 😊❤
It got agitated some, when you see their tail wagging, especially the side to side flap one. That's telling her he's ready to be left alone

I lost my cat groomer. I’m trying it myself this summer as well.
Hi, did you give your cat his first lion cut? How did it go? :0)

Great. Now the cats wants to speak to the manager too! lol
Where are you located?
Do you always bathe the cat prior to the cut?
Typically bathing is last to minimize stress
I'm at work and I sing and play drums after work. I'll have fun and upload again.

*lay of the coat. Grain is for wood.
No sound on the Second Lady
ermmmmm sometimes the blade hit the nipples... how to prevent it????
Honestly a lot of cat groomers don’t try to avoid them. But stretching out the skin and going slowly should avoid clipping the nips.
Totally agree with cats that haven't been brushed in months
can you show us you grooming a very spicy cat?
Ty
what is this cat on!!??!? :D
He has been groomed regularly for the entire life.
It is apparent that cat is used to the process.
Done like n subscribe
The only way I can trim nails is with a cat on my lap
So happy G.E.A.F. finally was exposed for what it was.
Why would anyone want to do this a beautiful cat . The so-called Lion cut is abusive; disfiguring and clearly causes the cat stress . Shame on you .
My Himalayan has trouble grooming herself. It had to be done with the mats she had.
If you scruff an adult cat they freak out. SCRUFFING Not for adult cats
No they don't. Shut up 😂
Lion clip looks stupid on a CAT?
