To be fair John basically rewrote the character, only reason he got popular. They took a crazy chance on a random villain

Vigilante is one of the greatest supporting character of all time, he takes nothing away from Peacemaker but adds so much that it wouldn't be the same without him

I've been seeing Cena grow as an actor and right now he can play almost anything. He nailed this character like no other actor will ever. Period. Let's be clear, all supporting actors are truly amazing, screenplay, SFX, everyone involved on the show has created something absolutely fantastic. Let's hope every season is as good as the first one.

Just as how I can only see Robert Downey Jr as Tony Stark and Ryan Reynolds as Deadpool, John Cena has really solidified himself as the only person I can see as Peacemaker. Just like with the others I mentioned, I can never see anyone else as that particular character, and to me, that is enough to convince me he was made for the role.
Disagree big time. Lots of actors have done the super hero with no powers but a smart brain thing. And many have done the edge lord funny super ninja thing too.
But who looks like cena? He looks like a mine craft character come to life. He has a big bubbly shaped body. Only he can do this role pretty much. Those other guys you mentioned can be replaced largely... Cena? Not so much...

Peacemaker season 1 was by far the best show I've seen in years, made my day seeing this teaser today.
I was about to graduate when PM S1 released and it helped me a lot to handle the hard stuff and the health issues I was going through then,now I'm at the worst place in my life ever and I hope this is a sign of that recovery again.

There’s actually a really funny “totally not Deadpool” alternate universe Deathstroke in superman/batman annual 1. It’s not canon, but a very entertaining read.
If the Marvel VS DC live action is happening, maybe. They had the comics of Marvel VS DC in the 90’s especially having a dude named Buried Alien (aka an amnesiac Barry Allen that entered into the Marvel universe during the “who is the fastest” and was connected to the last DC comic when he disappeared completely). But doubtful in this lifetime.

Just finished watching The Last of Us and I'm blown away by the storytelling, characters, and performances! Pedro Pascal and Bella Ramsey are absolute perfection as Joel and Ellie. The show's themes of loss, grief, and human connection really hit home. Can't wait for season 2! 10/10 would recommend

Also, the main characters of Watchmen were inspired by the characters from Charlton Comics, the publishing house where Peacemaker was created and which now belongs to DC Comics. In the first season, the police vehicles feature the name Charlton.

Wonder how they’re gonna explain Peacemaker being in a different universe without being obvious about it. Glad to see this one survived.
Nothing to explain, Season 1 is set in the DCU. All of that is cannon except for the ending Justice league scene.
I feel like the whole trailer made it pretty clear.
Watch it be something like he overslept in the pocket dimension room after a rager with his friends, then wakes up opens the door and finds the world changed around him.
I think Gunn said they will touch on it somehow, but idk how much they will get into it. Other than the JL cameo at the end of S1, and maybe a couple one off lines, it can fit into the new universe pretty well. Well I guess it gets more complicated if you add in the events from The Suicide Squad, but idk in my head I am just looking at it like its a parallel universe where the events of The Suicide Squad and Peacemaker season 1 mostly happened in the same way with some differences here and there.
At the end of the trailer I think that might be the give away. The quantum space storage room might be the key.
