I'm surprised to hear people didn't enjoy "The Four Winds." That was my first Kristin Hannah book and I absolutely loved it.
It was a really great story!
I really liked it too!
I’m shocked too… haven’t given a book by Kristin Hannah less than 4stars, you cannot not like her books The Four Winds included
Me three! Actually the four winds was my second book after the Nightingale. After reading these two books, I’m a huge fan and I plan on reading all of her books. Winter garden, oh my goodness. loved summer island. And one of the top three - the great alone! A must read. Fire fly lane very good.
Yes four winds was my first and I was hooked
Yes, finally someone who has read them all because I have read the four major ones that I love the four winds, the Nightingale, the great alone and of course firefly and the follow up book. I’d like to know about some of your other books, but don’t tell me about the women because I’m 77 and there was nothing good about the Vietnam war which was totally unnecessary and slaughtered our boys and brought them back with, so many hardships. So now I’m ready to listen.
@@suzysanders6267 this video was recorded before the women came out, so it isn’t discussed!
So far my favorite Kristin Hannah is The Nightingale a five star read for me. I picked The Women as my BOTM choice but haven't read it yet. I will definitely pick up Winter Garden from my Library!
I hope you love them both!!
I sobbed and sobbed toward the end of The Four Winds. I have The Women right next to me. Just haven't started it yet.
What’s stopping you?!
@@BekahBooksandBujo
I don't know. I have the dust jacket off, it in a book sleeve and a bookmark already in it.
@@alik7064 get on that, friend!! 😂
@@BekahBooksandBujo
Today is the day. While I'm waiting for the kid's bus.
@@alik7064 yay! I hope you love it 😊
I just finished Winter Garden , my first Kristen Hannah, I could not put it down. I sobbed too, it was such a good read.
Yay!! I'm so glad you loved it.
Love the list! Haven't read all of Kristin Hannah's books but the ones I've read basically match your rating! Winter Garden used to be my favourite but now it's The Women! I found it harder to read about her time back in the United States then her time in Vietnam. SO MANY TEARS.
I love her books. Mostly because they make me cry 😭🤣
I have only read two of Kristin Hannah's books: Magic Hour and Comfort & Joy. I loved them both and both made me cry. I look forward to reading the rest of her books. She is now one of my favorite authors.
Yay! A fellow Kristin Hannah lover 😊
I’m excited for this video :). I still have only read one Kristin Hannah 😅. This will help me know what to prioritize.
Yay! I’d say Winter Garden or The Women next!
You could try interlibrary loan (ILL) at your public library. (This is different from borrowing books within your library system. They will look for the book in libraries all across the US.) If you're public library doesn't offer this service, you could check with a nearby university library. Good luck!
Both good ideas! Thank you!! 😊
I’m currently reading The Women and loving it. Last year I read The Great Alone and loved it. The year before that I read Comfort and Joy and did not like it, and years before that I read Between Sisters and thought it was terrible. 😂 I’m curious about The Winter Garden now though. Might need to pick that one up.
Seems like you like her more recent releases. I think if you like/liked The Women and The Great Alone, you'd definitely like Winter Garden!
I adored The Women! My husband was a Vietnam vet and a lot of what she wrote about in the book he experience.
I’m so glad you loved it, especially as a wife of a Vietnam vet!
Congrats on reading all of her work (at least those you can get 😉). This is a major accomplishment.
Thank you 😊
We will forever be friends because we agree winter garden is better than the nightengale!
❤️❤️
I've read When Lightning Strikes! I found it at a thrift store last year. The premise is pretty interesting and I liked the very end, but there are some questionable elements and it's really not up to her current standards. Not that I would necessarily expect it to be, of course!
Also probably has to do with it being almost 30 years old 😂
I've read 6 or 7 of them I think. Most favourite: The Great Alone. Least favourite: Four Winds.
Totally fair!
The Nightingale is the greatest book I’ve ever read. You should review it!
It’s a wonderful book. I’ve thought about rereading it lately!
I found a handful of heaven and it is actually a spicy fiction book lol
Yes all of her first were “romance” novels
@@christined4842 Yep! I noticed that with If You Believe!
Kristin Hannah rivals Stephen King for her story telling and character development. She is one of the greatest authors of our time.
Agreed!! Even though I have hardly read any Stephen King 😂
Try abebooks for the ones you couldn’t find!
I’ve only read The Four Winds and then The Nightingale, so far. I have probably at least 3-4 more on my shelves though!!
@@BookishBanterFM read them soon!! 😊
I found Waiting for the Moon on ThriftBooks.
Oooh! Was it $35 like A Handful of Heaven was 😂
@@BekahBooksandBujo A Handful of Heaven was $78!! The other 4 were fairly reasonable, I think.
@@astarreads4214 I love you, Kristin Hannah, but not THAT much! 😂
The Women was the first Kristin Hannah books that I actually finished. I couldn’t put it down! I DNF’d Firefly Lane and The Great Alone. I may try the Great Alone again some time. But The Women- a definite 5 star read. Yes. I balled my eyes out.
I’m so glad you liked it!
I struggled a bit with The Great Alone. Even though I really liked it, it dragged a bit in the middle. I’m glad I pushed through though as the ending was really worth it.
Great ranking and guide Bekah! I’m looking to get more into Hannah’s writing so this video was perfect for me ❤
@@valliyarnl I’m so glad you enjoyed it! Which one do you think you’ll pick up next?
@@BekahBooksandBujo hmmm I think the Winter Garden one sounds most interesting and the Great Alone!
@@valliyarnl yes!! Winter Garden is my all time fave. The great alone is also very good!
They’ve been saying the nightengale was gonna be a movie for years! I kind of gave up on it!
I just watched an interview with KH and I think it’s actually going to happen in 2024! It got shut down in 2020 during Covid and now they’re FINALLY able to get back to it?! I hope so!
Its required at my school for all seniors to read The Nightingale the summer before senior year and every page of it I read, I become more in love with Kristin Hannah's writing!! After this read I will be devouring her entire backlog.
@@lauragra23 I hope you love them all!!
All libraries in the U.S. have a system which allows the libraries to borrow books from any library in the United States. Thee is even a service that looks for a book outside of the U.S., if your library subscribes to it. Have you used these avenues to look for the books you are missing? If not, ask your local library.
I have not yet, but I will!
Great video! Check Pango...I saw Waiting For the Moon and When Lightning Strikes listed there. I have read almost everything by Kristin Hannah except Comfort & Joy, Home Alone, The Four Winds (on my 2024 reading list), and the older ones you listed as Can't Find. I read most of them so long ago and don't remember them but I have mostly enjoyed all of her books. I finished The Women yesterday and WOW! Loved it!
I will have to check Pango! Glad you are a fellow KH lover 😊
I read a lot of Kristin Hannah books, I don't remember the earlier ones, but my favorites are
The Winter Garden and Nightingale. I found some of the earlier ones on Thriftbooks and Better world books, from $5.00 to $9.00 other ones have outrageous prices
Wonderful! Thanks for doing some research for me - I'll have to check both places out! 😊
I loved the books Ive read by Kristin Hannah 5⭐️’s: The four winds, The nightingale, The great alone, and Night road. 4⭐️’s: True colors, Angel falls. I have on my tbr: Home front, Between sisters, On Mystic lake, Winter garden, Home again, Summer island, and The women.
Yay! I think you should read The Women or Winter Garden next!!
I just read the great alone and loved it so much! Which is saying a lot because i tend to stay away from historical fiction. In excited to read more of her books!
I’m so glad!
This is so fun! Some of her old ones are so interesting because they just feel so different. Love her and love hearing your thoughts!
Yes, there is a definite shift with the times.
It’s so odd to rate books by how much you cry. Just rank on the plot, characters etc
Not sure if you've watched other tier ranking videos, but it's common to pick a way of rating that's a bit funny. That's what I did. Sorry if it didn't work for you!
@@BekahBooksandBujo I have not. No I actually didn’t mind it. It just surprised me but I think you’re quite nice. I liked your video
@@christined4842 Thanks!
I read "The Great Alone" and it is the only one of her books I have read. I would put it squarely in the category of romance . I am not a fan of romance and this book didn't change my mind at all. I ended up skimming about half way through as I was bored. I only finished because it was for a book club. In general, I think romance novels deal in cliches as did this book. I also think this genre is manipulative of the reafders" emotions. So, your rating her books on how much you cried makes sense since manipulating emotion is the point of the book. The book was good in the world building aspect but I just really didn't feel the characters as real people.
Not every book is for every reader! I love having books, writing, characters pull at my heartstrings. We're different, and that's okay! 😊
I have read a few of Kristin Hannah’s books and have loved each one of them. The Nightengale, The Great Alone, The Four Winds and I absolutely loved each one of them. Inspiring me to buy Women. I am starting this book tonight . ❤
@@deniseplasse5126 yay! I hope you love it!!
I wish I could read every book by Larry Niven. But I only have so much time, and I also try to give each author a chance. So every book of his I read, would be a lost opportunity to read another author.
I totally understand this!
I love Kristin Hannah books also, and have read I think 7 or 8 at this point. I haven’t gotten to Winter Garden yet and now I really want to! Magic Hour and Night Road were two of my favorites. I also enjoyed the friendship in Firefly Lane but actually enjoyed the show more, even with the changes they made. Home Front is my least favorite that I’ve read-I just didn’t like or care about the characters in that one, it was still well written, just wasn’t for me.
I really like the more contemporary family/friendship related ones and am not a big fan of historical fiction so was bummed when she started moving that direction. However, I gave The Nightingale a try after all the hype and absolutely loved it. The Kristin Hannah character work was still there pulling at my heartstrings. I’m slowly working my way through her work again now with the newer books.
Even though The Great Alone and The Women are more historical, there are great family/friend dynamics! I hope you’d still enjoy them!!
Did you just miss Wild 🤔
Wild is actually just Magic Hour republished with a different name!
@@BekahBooksandBujo ahh okay dinno that
Have you tried World of Books(WOB) they ship world wide. I believe at least one of your missing books is on there.
I will check it out! Thank you! 😊
Great review video! I love how you ranked your books! I'm new to Kristin Hannah, just starting to research her book reviews. Thank you so much for sharing your experiences while reading these!
I hope you love her!!
I just read The Great Alone- my first Kristin Hannah book. LOVED it! Next is The Women.
Yay! I hope you continue to love her books.
just finished the woman an hour ago and I'm already watching content about it 😭 my favorite hannah book has been the great alone, but the woman i finished in few sittings i just could not put it down
I’m so happy you loved it!! It’s definitely one of my faves.
I absolutely love how you ranked these books. The Women was my first introduction to her, and I was so surprised to find tears running down my cheeks at book's end. Your ranking helps me to choose my next; so thank you very much! Elizabeth
I hope you love more from her!
I haven’t read any of her books! What?! I think I’ll start with Women, I think.
You have so much to look forward to!! 😊
I just finished listening to The Women and I absolutely loved this book! It’s my favorite of hers so far.
Yay! So glad you loved it. It was a phenomenal story.
I know I read true colors but I honestly can’t remember!
It’s hard to remember all of them, especially when they seem to have pretty similar characters.
I haven’t read Angel falls yet! And I really wanna read the things we do for love!
I hope you love them both!
I own three that you couldn't find but I haven't read them yet. Found them all years ago at library sales.
Oh boy! I'll just have to keep searching!
Love your teir ranking maybe if enough of us Book Lovers reach out to her or her publisher they might re-release some of her out of print work
Now that’s an idea!
Have you tried Ebay to find the missing books or Amazon?
Not ebay! I'll look.
So now I know I need to read more from her! I have read a few. I just got The Women. I hope to read it soon. Nightingale is my favorite so far. Many, many tears were
You will love them all!!
This was great! I’ve only read 2 of her books so far and gave 2 or 3 others on my shelves. And I’ll eventually get my library hold of the new one-looking forward to that one a lot!
I hope you love them all!! She can definitely write a good story.
I enjoyed hearing your reviews. I am reading The Women right now and I feel a little differently than you. I am unfortunately finding this story a little predictable. I hope it changes a little before I complete it.
There might still be some unpredictability coming! Hope you enjoy it by the end.
I feel the same way, if was good but not my favorite
I liked on mystic lake. It was interesting
I’m glad you liked it!
It’s going to be based on the amount of tissues used lol 😂 😂😂😂
Lol!
I actually loved fly away.
Yeah, it wasn’t bad!

I loved The Women!
Yes! So good!
