Translation notes:
[1] Shounagon's way of saying 'Master-chan'.
[2]Sei Shounagon is written as '清少納言' in Japanese. 'Kiyohara' is '清原', 'Sei' is '清' and 'Shounagon' is '少納言' (lesser councilor of state).
[3] Kemari (蹴鞠) is a type of football played by courtiers in ancient Japan.
[4] A reference to a segment from The Pillow Book: 星はすばる、彦星、夕筒。よばい星、少しをかし。尾だになからましかば、まいて。(The stars are Subaru (Pleiades), Hikoboshi (Altair), Yuuzutsu (Hesperus). Yobaiboshi (shooting star) has its charm too. Though it would be better off without its tail.) Her skill, "The Star is Subaru" is also an obvious reference to this.
[5] Originally, Shounagons says "おいでやす京都、おこしやす京都" here. 'おいでやす' and 'おこしやす' are how they say "Thanks for coming/visiting" in Kyoto. The latter is a more grateful way to say it.
[6] Bubuzuke is what ochazuka (rice with tea poured on it) is known as in Kyoto.
