What a story about aron martens. He is truely missed .what a beautiful person he was.i am almost to the end of the video and have been comenting as i watch and cant wait to see what happens in this last day .comeon lets go get yourself a win man.
That bridge was on fire during practice when i was there in july. But on tournament days they pushed out and i couldnt get bit. similar conditions also. smooth in morning, and had 5'footers coming back from north hero.
Dude you were putting the hammer down on them in day 2 wow..shoot that was an epic day fishing .i want to fish that lake someday its defonetly on my bucket list
Honestly, my gut tells me that Chris should aim to learn the out-of-line spinner bait lure. There are times when a more single, substantial chunk of material (top waters, swimbaits, glides etc), will draw fish. Those wind swept conditions and storm affected days, where the weather has moved the bait around. Other times, it's less about that. It's about things like buzz baits, or even spy baits. I'm thinking about how Oklahoma anglers are with spinner baits. It's a totally different approach to fishing to a swimbait, but the great thing about spinner baits, one can retrieve a lure. But the calmer conditions will not preclude one from having large bites when the wind has gone away. The other thing about the spinnerbait (and it goes back to how Van Dam fished too), it enables one to expand out to other areas. While moving fast, not needing to remain as static.
The other thing about spinner bait fishing or buzzbait, as search baits too. It's does not preclude one then from picking up a swimbait and searching an area with it, having re-located some fish with faster search lures like out-of-line's.
@@Zaldaingerous I think there are those spinner bait lures with a lot heavier weight properties (those casts of that long distance obtained using the swimbait may not be un- obtainable using a spinner bait). I know there are 'the spoons' that featured in the various episodes of last year. I'd be curious to figure how spinner baits would fit into this lure selection, alingside the rest. Is there a modern way to think about use of the out-of-line? I know 'electronics' locate fish, but it's also about locating fish at some place where sufficient amounts or numbers of fish are biting too. Modern sonar still can't 'measure' fish attitude or mood. It would have been hard I assume to practice fish that Champlain tournament, to imagine one's way as far as the calmer day four weather, and being able to throw spinnerbaits. Why? One probably didn't get the brighter, less windy conditions that showed up on 'day four' in practice. That tells us something about 'weather' and four-day events (which become like five day events, with one day of badmington tennis), . . one has to practice for these longer four day events, without having actual conditions that are going to be there by the time 'day four' arrives. And in order to prepare for that 'unknown, unknown', ability to pick up a spinner bait and take a blind leap into that unknown, is something that maybe has to happen to win. The opportunity to throw one's own playbook or match strategy out of the window, perhaps has to be embraced? And I don't know how one gets better at doing that. As it suggests a kind of person who isn't reliable, solid and could be accused of being impulsive. Perhaps an angler such as Chris, has to study anglers from former days such as Van Dam? Or others?
One other thought, what is a 'known, known' as of November 2024, is that fishing for a place, fishing for a safe cheque does not appear to be something one can hope to do in 2025? And what I don't know either, is what sort of 'game face' that one ought to try to bring to one's competition with them in 2025. Knowing what we do know.
@Zaldaingerous rite on thanks man. I have the same rig and going back and forth between the most solid console mount to use. I'm in New England and hit champlain a few times a year along with other big waters so seeing the mounts on your rig take the punishment is leaning me that way. Thanks man and continued success 🙌
Big fan of yours. Video has WAY TOO MUCH movie theater editing. Just want to see you fish, tell us what you’re doing and how you’re doing it. I’ll watch Interstellar if I want all the dramatic music.
Title says “swimbaits”… buddy doesn’t catch one on the glide until 25 minutes in… come on man, you’re better than that. Think my next video I’m going to call it “this swimbait is the best on the market” then throw a drop shot/ jig n minnow, and Texas rig craw the whole time.
I love watching your videos, not only do you smash the fish! But you have one of the greatest editors ever! It just completes your videos!!!!
Little comedy, mostly serious. We’re all on the same page!! Thanks Nate!!
No regrets, that’s how life should be lived. A constant learning curve with risk/reward bumps along the way. 🤘

That zaldaingerous swimmer is legit. Counting rocks in 25’ led to my best fish of the year, 5.6lb smallie. 💪
Champlain is by far my favorite place of all the elite stops.

Hell yea, parrot!!! 🍻
Duh. I’ve been following for a bit over a year now certainly should have realized there one of your sponsors.Dope.
Awesome video, glad your back....what glide bait is that anyway??
It baffles me in a game that ounces decide thousands of dollars and Classic qualifiers that very few anglers use cull tags and scales.
Awesome video. Please keep it up.

Loyalty roast!!!!!
How do you like that Bates reel?
Are you using bates hundo reels
Which Irod are you throwing that glide on?
hey what model and brand is that drip coffee maker?
Why blur out the black rifle bag?
yo at 21 you threw back the bigger fish. Im guessing you wanted the healthier fish in the box?
why the blur on the coffee? no more black rifle?
It was either a secret blend or our time has come to an end 😅 lol
Why so many ppl at that spot lol
its a shame you need to censor out BRCC
😬😬😬 they hired a new marketing person. Don’t think this person is a fishing fan 🤷🏽♂️
Not your fault. It's there loss!
