    Thank you for your time.
May I suggest an improvement to the comparison? Adding a row for the time would provide the comparison time.
This will give a clear picture of when the comparison was done, rather than when the models were last updated.
You can refer to your previous videos and take the comparison date from those earlier videos.

I still find it bizarre that they ignore the no. of words you ask them to produce. Its one of the easiest instructions it could follow

Agreed, but GPT-4s struggle with word counts due to their oken-based processing, probabilistic text generation, and lack of a built-in counting feature. It prioritizes coherence over strict word limits, and language variations make consistent counts challenging.

@@wordsatscale thanks for reply. It does seem very silly tho. With the capability they have , they could easily .ake it in a ball park of hitting within 50 or 100 words higher or lower than what u ask it

@@wordsatscale Rather than prompt them for words, how about ask for a number of tokens (which they understand most)? #JustMeThinkingOutLoud

Also, they understand specific *character* counts pretty well.

I think it might be better to use a more specific prompt for the readability step. Something like specifying a readability metric like “Write at a a Flesh Kincaid grade level of 5”

    • @wordsatscale
      @wordsatscale  2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      tried that - same result

This is what I use for readability:
      "FOLLOW THESE GUIDELINES STRICTLY:
      • Flesch-Kincaid Reading Ease Score: Aim for a score between 60 and 70, indicating content easily understood by high school graduates. Lower scores (50-60) may be acceptable for more technical topics.
      • Sentence Length: Keep sentences around 15-20 words. Maintain a mix of sentence lengths for variety.
      Keep sentences below 20
      words.
      • Passive Voice: Minimize passive voice usage for clear and concise writing. Use active voice for better readability, but passive voice might be appropriate in specific scenarios. Use active voice for direct and engaging writing.
      • Paragraph Length: Aim for 3-5 sentences per paragraph.
Follow a natural flow, avoid excessively short or long paragraphs.
      • Clear and concise language: Avoid jargon and technical terms unless they are essential for your audience. Explain complex concepts in a way that is easy to understand.
      • Transitions: Use transition words and phrases to connect ideas smoothly and guide the reader through your thoughts. Use transition words to connect ideas smoothly.
      • Bullet Points and Lists: Use them to break down complex information and improve readability.
      • Variety of Words: Use a mix of familiar and slightly more complex words to engage a wider audience.
      Structure and Organization:
      • Headings and subheadings: Use clear and concise headings to structure your content and guide readers through different sections.
      • Bullet points and numbered lists: Break down complex information into easily digestible chunks.
      • Logical flow: Organize your content in a logical order, presenting information in a way that builds upon itself and makes sense to the reader."
