My brother and I fished in our end of the year championship for the Roland Martin Marine Center Series on Lake Okeechobee. Coming off of an extremely good finish in the Fast Break 10K tournament, we were pumped for this tournament. Fished similar waters but the fish were already gone. Day 1 was a disaster after losing a 7+lber right at the boat. Day 2 was a little better as we decided to go up north.
We were fishing for spawning fish on both the south and north end for the tournament. Mainly throwing a Spro Rattle trap and a chatter bait paired with a Gambler Komodo. We did, however, flip some buggy whips on the north end that produced our biggest fish of the tournament. Using a 1/2oz weight with a Gambler boxercraw.
