Girl, you've got to be my new favourite youtuber at the moment! Your content makes me so relaxed and happy (also wishing I had more money for perfume, lol). Book wise, I REALLY recommend you "Rebel of the Sands" by Alwyn Hamilton, first part of a great 3 part series. It's a fantasy story set in a desert town and city (middle eastern/arab vibes), telling a story of a rebelious girl named Amani, who decides to run away from her home town and ends up joining forces with a mysterious foreiner. It's feminist, dynamic and well written, plot is SO intense and keeps you on your toes. Get your hands on it if you can! Also, it reminds me of Bade'e Al Oud Amethyst by Lattafa
I loooooove this type of video! I would love for you to do a series like this and go even deeper, giving perfumes for each of the major characters in a book. Similarly, I would love to see you pick perfumes for movie or TV characters! 😍🩷💜🩵
Okay but I need you or someone to do a series of Shakespeare character perfume recommendations based on the main characters! I’m trying to find a scent for the two shows I’m in that fit the characters I’m cast as!
OMG this is the best thing ever. My dream niche! I’m an author and a perfume collector and know so few people who I can talk to about both. I’m sending you a copy of my book when it comes out for sure. 😂
THANK YOU! I loved The Invisible Life of Addie LaRue! I just read The Lost Bookshop, it had a sprinkle of the Addie LaRue mystique, but nowhere near as dark. Very sweet while tackling some heavy topics. I also adore audiobooks, and the AB version of The Lost Bookshop is delightful.
Omg throne of glass!!! I finished Queen of Shadows not too long ago and that is my favorite book of the series so far! I literally devoured that book! 😍😍
Hello ! Perfume and books are two of my favorite things in the world, I'm so glad I found your video, it was so fun to watch, so thank you for making it. I was also wondering if you ever read books about perfumes, perfumers or even ones that have a perfume lover/enthusiast as a character, any recs would be great.
you started talking about throne of glass and I immediately had to check my bank account to ensure I could afford literally WHATEVER you recommended. my fav series of. all. Time.
Listen to Maggie read it on audible!! Her voice is perfect. Also it was a winter listen to me for some reason during long commutes. I rarely give five stars to books but it was definitely one of them
Okay, first off plz plz plz pick up ACOTAR AND CC next, BUT you def have to read ACOTAR prior to CC. Trust me, it matters, lol. Second, what book order did u do for TOG bc I did the tandem read, and it was a lot for me. And three, please read PJO next or 9th house. Pjo is def my childhood, and there's I think 17 books in the core Percy jackson series, and I love all 17 ngl. Another book I would die for a perfume rec for 9th house. And I def think u might like 9th house fs it's sooooo gooodd. Awesome video, as always!
I’ve had an itch to get into books lately, if anyone has recommendations lmk please:)! I love perfumes and this idea of pairing a fragrance with the essence of a book ✨
🌸EMMA🌸🌸 You have to Audible 🎧 “Annihilation” by Jeff Vandermeer it’s very short but so so good, they also made it into a movie with Natalie Portman as the lead. It’s gorgeous and even though I think I know what perfume you would pair it with (alien 👽) I’m really curious what else it would bring up for you ✨✨
I’m a school librarian sooo I LOVE this!! 💕 💕 oh you have to read the bell jar! And anais nin!! I follow Stephanie Soo Who tells stories from series etc and I can’t do sci fi or fantasy it kills me inside ( I’m very literal ) I just don’t have a sci fi mind ha
I love Stephanie Soo!! And I totally agree about not having a sci-fi mind. I actually have to read these as audiobooks because even reading the name "Celaena Sardothien" broke my brain
@@perfumerismhaa I’ve never tried audio books! I almost feel like it doesn’t count!? I need to try! Oh and Hudson? Btw I’m from a few towns away ( Rhinbeck NY ) the Hudson Valley! So that book and the Swedish Backman one sound right up my alley! I prefer stories about regular people and life and the human condition as well and stories that seem simple but leave me in deep thought, laughing or sobbing! Anyway love this series!
I always love a Cocoa feature 🥺 I'm not a big sandalwood fan/am borderline scared of it LMAO, but I'm definitely interested in Gabar as a brand after this! Have you tried anything else from them??
Bell jar is a quick - but depressing read - worth reading - love your channel - love books and perfume

I’m on Queen of Shadows too! Addie LaRue is so good- I would have bet money that you were going to pair Not a Perfume with it!
you started talking about throne of glass and I immediately had to check my bank account to ensure I could afford literally WHATEVER you recommended. my fav series of. all. Time.
I just finished The Invisible Life of Addie La Rue a few weeks ago. What a book!! 📚❤
Your description of Bear Town reminds me a little of the style of Fortress of Solitude by Jonathan Lethem. It’s a must read. 😊
Listen to Maggie read it on audible!! Her voice is perfect. Also it was a winter listen to me for some reason during long commutes. I rarely give five stars to books but it was definitely one of them
Which book?
I LOVE BIG SWISSSSSS
