Miss Karen , as of now I'm looking after of a 10 yrs old nonverbal autism child. I'm in SG 4yrs ago to work with a expat family and now there back in Ireland for good and kasama po ako sa pag balik nila dito. 1st of all I never heard this autism until such a time I work this family and I slowly understand and I also research this autism syndrome. They are very loving sweet and very smart. They also very good in memory. Now he moves to 300 jigsaw kahit ang lilit kaya na buohin.

Hi po ma'am Karen, I am 22 years old and
I have autism po. Thank you po. 💕

Hi po ma'am Karen, I was diagnosed with autism when I was 3-4 years old 💕. I also had a speech therapist, and I studied in a special school for 10 years. I wasn't responding my name, I can't talk, can't have eye contact with each other, lining up with toys (in my case, books/encyclopaedia too), not interacting with fellow kids. Finally I can already already talk at the age of 7. 😁 But now, I overcome them already by GOD'S grace 🙏🏻💕 I left special school in 2002. I transferred in a regular school in the same year. 😊 I finished grade school (2004) and high school (2008) in flying colours, like a regular student 🌈. Btw, I'm also a college graduate in 2012 like any typical student, bachelor's degree holder pa po ako 😁 TO GOD BE THE GLORY 🙏🏻

I agree. I have a grandson who is also into autism and his parents are not financially able for him to have a complete therapy.
If only our government could fund the needs of these less fortunate kids by putting up school where they could have free therapy, their potentials to be better would be enhanced well, thus, developing a brighter future for them after.
Ms. Karen, can you be the voice of these less fortunate kids to become noticed and be given special attention through public awareness using your vlogs?

Through law, budget, fundings and programs. Dito sa Canada may rights sila specially ang rights to education, accommodation, exemption in some areas and also inclusivity. The govt. has a treatment center for early intervention, they offer various programs, therapies, and trainings. Although medyo mahaba haba ang waitlist dito but once you get the Autism Funding ang daming nagagawa para sa welfare ng mga bata. May budget din for respite(para ito sa mga parents/caregivers na makapagrelax once in a while) Taking a break from caregiving is a must talaga, the fact na it's very exhausting ang pagiging special needs parents/caregiver not only physically but mostly psychologically. I am really hoping na Philippines will have this type of programs for everyone specially the needy families.

Ang talented ni David lalo na as a painter. Namangha ako sa mga paintings nya na despite of his condition he can create beautiful and amazing canvass na parang professional ang gumawa. I've been here since this channel had fewer than 1,000 subscribers, and it now has over a million. I learned about David during an interview with Ms. Small Laude on another episode.
David is such a blessing-a gifted young man. From this episode, we learn that Disability would mean different abilities and a different pace. I, too, have a disability; I lost my leg in an armed encounter, and the transition has been the most difficult for me. What they (PWD) need is strong support from family and friends, as well as a social acknowledgment/acceptance that they, too, can live a regular life. Best wishes, David. You truly are an inspiration.
Thank you also, Ma'am Karen, for being the epitome of what a mother's love truly means.

Hi Ms. Karen! This is so inspiring! My son is also on the spectrum, he has intellectual disability. I hope I can also find places where he could learn more life skills and do OJTs. I'd also like him to learn more about life and be more independent, I was a single mom who could not afford therapies before as he had a father who just wouldn't provide enough child support. I hope it's never too late. He's 18 now.

We need more of these videos. Here in the Philippines, ASD is still not as widely accepted as we, the parents of kids with ASD, hope.
Not only that, I hope there are more avenues like these for our loves. I am still learning all I can on how to better help my kid (my son got diagnosed just July 2022) and it hasn't been smooth-sailing. I have even considered going back to school to become an SLP as I feel there is a "shortage" of STs in the PH.
I hope you continue these vlogs - surely helps the community.
