I love how they all go out into the world to dance in companies, but if they get the chance, they all come running home. 😊 Speaks volumes about the school.
yes honestly it's such a comfort bc sometimes it can seem harsh but i understand we don't see the whole story and it could be humour. clearly they love it though
I love how happy and humble these dancers and teachers are, and yet they are so excellent at dancing and teaching!!!! I wish every ballet school and company were like this!!!! I believe if they were alot of dancers wouldn't have quit ballet!!!
It keeps blowing my mind, the total duality of these young people’s incredible artistry vs. their youth and naïveté of the rest of the world. Crazy combo. I sincerely hope that the world treats them all kindly as they learn about it. 🙏🏼💗
On the copyright: while any copyright for the score of Giselle itself may be long expired, a recording of that score by a specific orchestra may be copyrighted.
So utterly fantastic to see how well everyone genuinely gets on, and are really enjoying being together!! No matter what their role in this theatre, there is such a good vibe!!
As a newcomer to this channel, I really enjoyed this behind the scenes vlog! 😊 Thank you, Eva for your awesome content. Love seeing all the things that go into preparing for a ballet performance. Everyone is just awesome 😎 Can't wait for Part 2! Also, I just love watching Tessa and Melanie's friendship and goofiness 😆 Two of my favorite people on this channel. Can't wait to see their updated handshake! And the greatest of luck to Amber and Ben in Boston 👍👍 You got this! 🤘🤘 And Maya is just amazing as ever! Sorry to hear about your kittens 😞🌹❤️
I do ballet, I’m 12, and I’m in intermediate, your videos are such an inspiration! They keep me motivated!! I have a long rehearsal ( 6 hours ) after school next week and I’m so excited because my recital dance is with the advanced girls! I had our photos today :)
Hey! I felt as I should add to this comment I relate to this comment a lot!! I was super excited to start dancing in company and with the older girls! I am 13 by the way!
Way back when....the dance troop I was associated with always had 2 dressing rooms rooms. One dressing room for the folks that needed quiet prior to performing. The other dressing room was for the dancers that tended to bounce off the walls -- the rambunctious group!. Here and there were little spots that dancers would find who absolutely needed alone time.
I have never even set foot in a ballet class in my 47 yrs of life but the elegance, grace and sheer talent that dance, esp ballet, exudes is just exquisite! I could watch it all day long. If given the chance as a child, I definitely would have taken dance, so I love to watch it and live vicariously through them. I very much enjoy your photography as well bc you capture the strength and beauty in the dancers! And to watch you bravely try something as technical as ballet at 27, and SLAY, is truly an inspiration to me and I'm sure many others. BRAVO EVA!🥰🩰💐
I adore Maya! I am so glad I am watching this just to get the background scoop on the dancers!!! Aside from the glorious dancing and watching the struggles, I love that you vlogument individuals progress and career arch. THANK YOU EVA!,,,,
I love ur videos :) and I agree, Giselle looks very challenging in terms of steps and acting. It's so interesting how the first half, she's so innocent and lively, and to memory has limited dancing, and in the second half, is very sad and traumatised and dances a bit more. You guys are so sweet and talented. Good luck 👍
That soda machine reminds me of the one at one of my old theaters, although it would always give the wrong product. Always a game of soda Russian roulette if you used it. Other times it simply gave you back your money but wouldn’t let you buy anything. Also, my condolences for Maya’s cats. As for copyright, it’s ridiculous. Sweden is supposedly pretty okay regarding copyright. 12:43 Good to see a fellow “Bad B*”. An all girl Catholic high school is no fairy tale. Leonidas reminds me of a male dancer I knew back in NYC, years ago. Could have been Leo’s exact double. Different voice and accent, though. 15:58 reminds me of us messing around backstage to get the wiggles out of our system. 🤣 The fact the stage manager tells everyone not to mess with the stage props, the stagehands are gonna do it just because they were told not to. D’aaaw! I love Corgi! 🌞 “Rule breaker! Rule breaker! You are BANNED from -the daycare- TikTok. (Seriously, what a ridiculous reason to get banned! I can empathize, I just got off an unjust ban from GestapoTube). 21:00 Me, trying to kill a spider on the living room ceiling.
This was fun watching. From a musician: in general, copyrights are 70 years after the date of creation, not 7 years. There is a copyright for the composer (70-100 years after the death of the composer) and a separate copyright for the orchestra/performers (70 years after creation). It’s good you were told not to include the copyrighted recording on your vlog - if discovered, it could cost you and MBA a LOT of money. The music for Giselle is in the public domain - no longer copyrighted. The recording, however, is copyrighted, unless the recording was made before 1954. Lawyers/union musicians: correct me if I’m wrong about this, please.
She did say 70, but it was just harder to hear. I only knew that about the creation of the music itself, though, not the composers seperately. I bet ya that's what she was thinking, too, and that the composer for that piece died way later than the creation.
the music sheet is in the public domain BUT NOT the interpretation. If you find a 70 years old recording of Giselle then it's not copyrighted BUT Giselle played by the Boston Philharmonic (or whatever) from less then 70 years ago then it's still under copyright
I love theses show blogs, I also love this dance academy everyone seems so nice and fun, if I could join a dance school I think I would want to join this one❤
Every time you mention Ms. Irena, I think you're talking about my mom. 💚 This is the 2nd time I've ever heard her name used outside of the house and my grandparents are Polish.
This is amazing, and watching your videos inspires me to become more flexible and possibly try Pointe one day! You all are so very talented. Do the students go to school throughout the week? Or is the dance school just what they do? (I was just curious if they like to focus on ballet school or if they also have to handle being educated at a public school or something. Thanks!!
I was wondering, when did you started dancing? I started at 14, but then when COVID hit when I was 17, I haven’t been back in a while. Now at 20 I went back to my first ballet class in about three years. I’m salty about all the progress I missed and I don’t know if it’s too late for me to become a professional at ballet.
