Great memories. Time to pass this technique on to our latest generation. Hint: you can staple into the waste areas so that they don’t shift as you cut and they will fall away with the scraps.
Oh yes, FUN FUN FUN!!! We just called then paper chain dolls and would see who could make the longest and use as a garland to decorate the tree. I love this concept, you can switch it up and make Christmas trees, Snowmen, Ornaments, Gingerbread houses, and Sleighs. I am sure you can do the same for any holiday icons. Thank you so much for sharing.📗✂🎄☃🛷🦌
Thank you for participating in the #chrimascraftoff23 collaboration in creating a Playful Journaling Spots. I love how you created the flap and pocket for gingerbread boy and how you tide the gingerbread girl on the page. So clever! So adorable!
Your gingerbread people are adorable, and I love how you kept them joined together. The detail of the scallop on the skirt is a clever idea. The gingerbread could also provide a ton of writing space in a journal, depending on what backing paper is used. This collaboration is so good… so much inspiration.
How adorable and creative. As a kid I made these paper doll chains too but it's been many many years now. I had forgotten how fun they were. Thanks for sharing 😊
Oh my goodness, this is so much FUN and it sure takes me back, many years! We used to make these paper chain dolls to decorate our tree or put in the windows at Christmas. I love these! ❤😊
These are so, so cute! I remember this as a child. I only remember calling them paper dolls! You are so fun! It’s great to be pleased with what you create! I can’t wait to have time to make this! This may become a Christmas card for my grandkids!
Thank you for taking me back to my childhood. I had so much fun making little paper doll garlands as a little girl. These are beautiful additions to journals. 💙E
Well! I thoroughly enjoyed that! Certainly cheered up a horrible wet miserable day here in the UK! :) Thank you so much for taking part in the collab and being an amazing Design Team member! Also! Congrats on your 1K!!!!!!! :) So deserved! xxxxx
Awww, thanks so much sweet. That is a lovely cheering thing to read. It's not so flash a week here in New Zealand either. Full on fire weather so my fingers and toes don't freeze. 🥶 That's how spring goes, I guess. Appreciate your kindness and generosity, Rach. 💖
These are so cute!!!!! I used to make paper doll chains for my kids to colour in You really never knew what they were going to end up like lol These are adorable
How fun … I have not made paper chain dolls in ages (that is what we called them when I was a child). I love that the gingerbread people can have their own house to live in😀 The interactiveness of this project will make a great journal addition and is also something I can do with my grandchildren for holiday memories as well as something they can play with. It makes a great garland too. The waistband bow to make the girl removable is so cute. Thank you for bringing back fond memories and for your sharing your ideas in this collaboration.
I love how my little video has inspired and brought back happy memories. I am so enjoying reading of people's plans to make them with young ones. I appreciate your wonderful comments, Roxanne. ☺
I’m really enjoying the colab and all the beautiful ideas and creations I’ve seen so far! Your little gingerbread boy and girl paper chains are so precious and making they’re little hiding places for in the journal is so inventive and adorable! Thank you!

Absolutely. The goggly eyes add bulk, but they aren't necessary (just fun). And you could use less or more pages to adjust to preference, too. Thrilled to hear you enjoyed the project. ☺️
My grandma used to make me paper dolls cut like this...what a precious memory I had forgotten about. You're a blessing! Happy Holidays to you and your family.
These cuties bring great memories of childhood projects. I love how you decorated them and your concept on a page decoration for them to love in. Thank you for sharing your creativity.
Yes! I remember making them from newspaper, too. That would be an amazing thing to do for journals, too, backed with writing paper. Thanks for reminding me of that! Blessings! ☺️
I remember as a child trying to figure out how to make a chain of paper dolls by myself. I was unsuccessful. Never cared about it again. Now I’m 66years old and some one has shown me how. So funny. Thank you!!!
Aww, Sandy. That is sweet that you remember trying to work them out as a child. I'm sure I wouldn't have been able to if I hadn't been taught it at school. I hope you make at least one now to satisfy that younger self. 🥰
