A B S O L U T E L Y fantastic episode! Great presentation. Conversation is fluid and engaging, had me locked in the entire time. What an interesting life Rick has lived! I loved his stories. Very much reminiscent of the serendipitous way in which the late George Carlin's life panned out. I agree with you also on your hope filled projection on the outcome of photography in the wake of the introduction of AI generated content, or "Fauxtography". I believe that once the shine has worn off the new car, as it were, it will leave people almost desperately searching for legitimate photography. Being starved of the emotional connection and energy that legitimate photography both invokes and imparts upon the observer. We, as photographers, have an enormous power in our hands, the power to invoke emotions at a fundamental level within others, and impart what ever energy we put into and captured within that 1/100 of a second time-span (or what ever shutter speed lol) As with all things, for the better or for the worse, that's a choice at an individual level and a different subject entirely, I d igress! I, like Rick, have also had much caffeine and will discontinue my rant! ha! Thank you for your content sir and please keep them coming so long as it serves you to do so!
