@@MotorhomeMatt I used to full-time in a motorhome in the UK and Europe. I've been living in Arabia for 9 yrs and looking to return home to the UK & buy a used Class-C motorhome next! I used to have a Class-A. Too big - I know the "White Knuckle" drive!!! ☺
As a retired heating engineer we used flue gas analyzers for years. I had two at a time because they do fail. I had Kane and Anton analyzers. There are other makers and they have to be calibrated every year. The same thing goes for electrical test meters.
With regards to the gas part of a Habitation check, How about you stop messing with something you know nothing about.. and get a Gas Safe Engineer in to do a Gas safety check.. You clearly know nothing about that side of it.. ' your blue is different to my blue..' !! Either that, or go and get yourself Gas Safe Registered..!! and do the job properly.. What qualification do have to say if a gas appliance is burning correctly or not..? Seems to me, you're making it up as you along... I'll be reporting 'Oakley' and Bristol Caravans to Gas Safe..!"
A habitation check does not require gas safe approval. What Bristol Caravans carry out is approved under the AWS. They also use a Kane metre, which is over and above the guidelines issued by the NCC.
Very informative podcast, well done.
Will share this with a new Motorhome downer.

Thanks for your comment. I’m sure they were standard issue in your sector. They certainly don’t seem to be in the leisure industry.
