I have a solar catamaran design that will blow you away . Twice as good and efficient .I am currently looking for a boat builder ,would love to hook up with this company!
Loving it more and more after every time you present it. The new models are as we say the 'dogs ......' I once bought a plug and transformed it into the actual boat and its still used by its current owner.
The yachting industry is evolving at a staggering pace, it is quite frightening but exciting as well. I look forward to the future and what it has in store for us. Mr David, the way you present is seriously impressive, you crave me for more of everything (it's the best way to discribe the feeling I get everytime I watch one of your videos). May the future be kind to you and your channels.
This is insane! Wow oh wow. A totally silent solar powered yacht. I'm gobsmacked. I would love to own a Silent 60. Smaller, more maneuverable, compact, less maintenance and upkeep. Hopefully Silent Yacht will spell the end of the McMansion Yachts that all the billionaires have. They are ghastly monstrosities that have nothing to do with enjoying the sea.
What are the beginning prices for each one of the models autos you know the silent 55 the silent 60 the 62 and the silent 80, Do you know if they have plans to add on windpower as well as hydrogen. I have seen other models by other makers of Hybrid power that offer all 3 as an option. I do like the fact that you can purchase the kite a kite to go with your silent 60 or above of anakin add up to 5 knots. And help extend the range of the battery packs. Do they come with an auto pilot system as well where you can plot out a Course?
More and More companies are producing Solar Powered yachts, however, I've yet to see one that has fold out Main Cabin walls creating a larger space... will Marco design that in future Silent Yachts?
I'm warming up to the idea, just like electric cars, most people don't take super long trips anyway. So the hybrid power system can be a great fuel saver if it's used to just put put around a few local ports and anchoring at some place nice to enjoy the water/scenery. Question: if someone is looking for a more traditional 150' motor yacht with room for 10-12 guest and a crew of between 6-10, what would be the rough equivalent length of catamaran?
this is different than electric cars, though. with electric cars, your range is limited by the availability of man-made charging stations. the silent yachts are charged by the sun, so this enables an essentially unlimited range.
@@jeffh3984 Technically true, but in this case, the range is limited to food carried on board, and water if they don't have solar powered water makers. Since the cruise speed is so low on solar power, and the weather is variable, it's easy to plan for nominal conditions, add some for safety margin, and still easily run out of food because power generation is unpredictable.
Hi Luca, I'm re-purposing videos from my "Yachts For Sale" channel to build this new "Yacht Builders" channel. There will soon be totally unique content here, I just need to build the subscriber base first.
I'm seeing several USED Silent Yachts for sale at various sites. That means someone bought one and decided to put it up for sale after just several months. YIKES! I could see one or two owners needing to sell because they began to struggle financially, but not THIS many. As a yacht broker, are you finding that owners are realizing the actual experience doesn't match the hype?
At that level, many yachts are treated more like financial assets than boats. They are purchased with holding companies and immediately put up for sale at a premium to new to exploit demand that doesn't want to wait for delivery.
@@ready4utoplayw hey, I just looked it up. They actually put all the prices on their website. The tri-deck 83 starts at 5.5 mil euros, but the 55 starts at 1.9 mil.
@@RogerWilco1 yeah, I couldn’t believe it. I’ll more than likely never be able to afford one, but somehow seeing the price makes me think it’s not impossible.
