    Sana tuloy-tuloy na buhayin ang train system sa Pilipinas para umunlad ang ekonomiya. Mapapadali nito ang movement ng mga tao at ng mga cargo. Kaya maunlad ang ibang bansa dahil moderno ang kanilang transport system through train. Sana gawing moderno na rin ang train system mula Manila hanggang Bicol at gawan ng station kada bayan. Iwas traffic at mabilis pa ang byahe. Sana matuloy na nga talaga.

    My grandfather was a former PNR employee and retired after 30yrs of service...And my father was also PNR employees for 30yrs and retired...He told me that one of the reason thats why PNR go bank craft is mismanagement and corruption..

    As told by my father who was a painter assigned in PNR Caloocan, he was one who made and painted the original PNR logo posted infront of every "bagul" or side of the train. This was also being told to me by his co-worker at PNR when they were still living. Hope its true and proud of it.

      First of all, hindi babaklasin ang PNR Main Line South. Second, NSCR lang ang mostly elevated railway system ng PNR (with at-grade section at EDSA-FTI and underground section at Clark International Airport area). The PNR Main Line South will still have its own tracks, ang layunin naman ng South Long Haul project ng PNR ay ang mapabilis ang travel time ng tren, Manila hanggang Bicol ng 4-5 hours, may parts ang PNR SLH na elevated, sa mga piling lugar

    Kung maibalik lang yang linya ng PNR with extend lines, malawak ang sasaklawin niyan. Mababawasan yung fuel consumption ng mga sasakyan gaya ng freight trucks tsaka passenger vehicles. Mawala yung sobrang trapik sa mga kalsada. Yung ekonomiya lalaki yan na makakatulong sa gastusin ng sambahayan [o bansa].
    Tignan niyo yung kasaysayan ng ilang bansa na mayayaman ngayon gaya ng Japan, China, United States, mga bansa sa Europa, malago ang ekonomiya dahil lang sa tren. 🙂

      Ang unang dahilan ng trapiko e ung ng private vehicles na tig iisa lang sakay. Un ung mga pamilya na may tig iisang car bawat miyembro 🤦‍♂️ . Naalala ko way back PNoys time na nagkaroon ng discount sa downpayment ang ilang car company sa manila kaya dumami lalo ang sasakyan na lalong nagpasikip sa edsa , tho pangit talaga ang set up ng edsa since marami establishments na katabi neto. Sana maayos na lahat nian para sa ekonomiya natin.

    Railway is the best option for cargo and passenger visiting province or for tourism purposes.. but commuting for work.. I think no.. the best way is to urbanize some of the provinces and the salary should be the same here in Manila.. so that the commuters will not congesting each public transportation here in Manila from other provinces.

    I hope that after all these railway projects are finished is hindi lang convenience ang maibibigay ng mga bagong railway na to sa mga pasahero kundi learning experience na rin sa mga inhinyero, arkitekto, at ang pamahalaan na magtayo ng matibay at earthquake proof na railway system sa bansa if we are planning to build future railways na tayo mismong mga Pilipino ang magdedesign, magpaplano, magmamanufacture, at magpapagana ng mga bagon ng tren at mga train stations.
    Well, yun lang namang trainset ng PNR na binili pa mula sa PT Inka ng Indonesia is an indication na hindi na lamang ang mga Hapon, Tsino, Espanyol at iba pang banyagang kilala sa mga railway systems kahit ang kapitbahay natin sa Timog Silangang Asya katulad ng Indonesia ay unting-unti na rin binibuild ang profile nila sa paggawa ng maaasahan at matibay na railway system.

    Sana mabigyan nang pansin ang railways nang Pilipinas ksi na pag iwanan na tayo nng panahon sobrang worst.. Itong railways ksi pwde din ung train para sa mga mananakay at pwde din sa mga container van like dito sa Germany.. Magandang pag gawa lng nng schedule at lagi dapat on time sobrang laki tulong sa mga tao at ekonomiya

    Malapit sa aking puso ang mga kasaysayan at mga kwentong may kinalaman sa PNR (Perokaril, ika nga ng lola ko). Lumaki ako sa tabing riles at may terminal ng tren dito sa amin dati. Nakasakay rin ako ng tren noong bata pa ako. Sayang at tuluyan nang panabayaan ang PNR gayung hanggang sa ngayon ay kulang na kulang pa rin ang serbisyo ng pampublikong transportasyon ng bansa. Sana balang araw ay mabigyang pansin ang PNR at mabigyan ito ng pangalawang buhay para sa kapakanan ng mamamayan.

    I am very proud that we are improving and modernizing our railway system; however, due to the pandemic, it would be impossible to finance it in the short run, because of funds allocated for pandemic-related purposes.
    And also, the railway system should not just focus on Luzon. It should be focused on Visayas and Mindanao.

    Very well-researched. All that's missing is the PNR Batangas line, Dagupan-La Union line and the Balagtas-San Jose line. Na-abandona yung Batangas line noong mid-1960s (either kasalanan ni Macapagal o Marcos) at yung Manila-Dagupan line noong panahon ni Cory. Plus, na-una pa tayo sa Timog-Silangang Asya na magkaroon yung mass rapid transit, yung LRT1, before Singapore's SMRT. Hindi nauna sa ASEAN yung Pinas, in terms of interprovincial rail transport, yung PNR. Nauna sa ASEAN yung Indonesia at sa Asya ung India sa pagkakaroon ng kanilang rail transport. Pagkatapos ng Marcos era (where Marcos took care of PNR), the Aquinos and Ramos neglected PNR (especially the Paco Railway Station). Arroyo took care of PNR, she went overboard when she built the China-funded NSCR instead of the usual at-grade. And then tinigil ni Panot. Buti pa tinuloy ni Digong yung NSCR. Sana makagawa ng next president yung resotration ng PNR Batangas line kasi para konekta yung port of Batangas at madaming na yung pabrika sa Sto. Tomas, Tanauan, Malvar at Lipa. Pinauna ni Digong yung Bulacan side ng PNR kasi palaging trapik dyan. And then soon, NSCR will connect Calamba and hopefully Los Banos, to cater the UPLB students. I saw the plang na ongoing yung planning ng PNR Batangas line.

      North-South Railway Project (NSRP) background
      The North-South railway project was officially launched by the DOTr and the PNR in July 2015, marking the start of the bidding process for the South Line, the Manila-Legazpi section.
      NSRP actually started during panots time. During sa time nya naghanap ng pondo at nag-ayos mga lupa na masasagasaan ng project. Si Duterte na lang yung nagtuloy kasi funded naman na sya. So it's both effort of Panot and Duterte.

    North South Commuter Rail is good but as long as the feeder lines in Metro Manila (LRT1, LRT2, MRT3) are not upgraded and connected properly to NSCR, this will not solve our transport issues completely. Lilipat lang ang bottleneck

      PNR now is connected to LRT1 (Blumentritt Station), LRT2 (near Pureza Station), MRT3 (near Magallanes Station)

    Dapat malawak ang parking sa mga tren station, can accommodate at least 100 cars, fully secured by cctv, like here in australia. Commuters are going to tren station, park their car and grab the tren sometimes substituted by bus during railway maintenance, buses are also Goverment own public transport, sa ganyang paraan makaka bawas ng traffic at mapapa bilis ang kalakalan.

    Sana talaga maging priority ng gobyerno ang pagmodernize ng PNR. Napakalaking tulong ito sa mga commuters. Swerte ko pa at merong byahe ang PNR dito sa Camarines Sur (Bicol). In 30-35 mins nasa destination na ako kesa sa pagsakay ng Jeep na inaabot ng more than 1 hour sa byahe.

    ang naalala ko ay mga 1959 -1965 para sa akin yan ang golden era ng tren sa pilipinas. MRR pa noon ang tawag nila noon ay ilocos express at bicol express. masasabi ko na moderno ang tren that time kasi dahil meron silang 3 aircon coach tawag nila ay first class. yong economy tawag nila ay third class meron din itong dining car na hinati sa gitna ang kalahati ay aircon at sa kabila ay third class. 68 na ako kaya alam na alam ko tuwing pupunta kami ng parents at mga kapatid ko sa manila tren ang sinsakyan namin. pero ng mabuksan ang north and south expressway diyan na nag umpisang humina ang tren. sana ang gobyerno natin ay ibalik ang north luzon railway para mabuhay ang history na ang unang biyahe ng tren ay Manila to Dagupan.

      Oo, tinutukan talaga ni President Garcia yung MRR. Nasimulan na nga yung project na i extend sa Cagayan at Sorsogon yung riles, sayang lang di tinuloy ni Macapagal at Marcos.

    Dapat sana Philippines ang naging top producer at developer ng trains sa Asia kung pinagpatuloy ang mahabang kasaysayan ng train sa bansa. Ngayon, catch up ulit ang ginagawa imbes na forefront. Sana makita ng mga Filipino kung gaano ka importante ang good governance sa patuloy na pag-unlad ng bansa. Hindi na lang dati una; ngayon isa sa mga kulelat.

    My grandma told me that PNR has the best railway ever. She even saw rare pnr trains like the U12C and U12MC

    Ako din ay isa sa nakaranas sumakay sa Tren dati maliit pa ako. Madaming mga nagbebenta sa tren lalo na sa mga bawat station. Ang relis ng tren samin ay wala ng natira kahit kahoy wala ka ng makita.

    Naranasan ko pa magbyahe sa tren manila to bicol,, sobrang nkka miss at nkkapang hinayang maraming istasyon ng tren ang giniba o pinabayaang masira ng gobyerno isa na yung sa lugar namin sa hondagua quezon. 12/27/21

    Naging bahagi ng buhay ko at ng pamilya namin ang PNR. Ang yumao kong ama na si Renato M. Maglalang nag simulang mag trabaho sa MRR pa nung mga panahon yun. Naging Hepe ng PNR San Miguel Tarlac Station at Principal Station Agent ng PNR Station sa Matatalaib Tarlac. Bago sa kanyang pag retiro, naging Head siya ng Operations ng PNR mula Tutuban hanggang Bicol. Masaya ang mga alaala kosa trabaho ng ama ko sa PNR. Lumaki ako halos sa mga estacion ng mga destino niya. At madalas kami sumakay pa norte hanggang La Union. Sana maibalik na ang PNR dito sa Norte.

    Yung mga natigil na train project noon 20 years over, ongoing na po ang constructions ngayon through the effort of sec. Art Tugade at president duterte kaya may pag-asa po ang ating train system lalo na kung itutuloy ng next admin ang nasimulan ng outgoing admin. Vote wisely pa rin sana tayong lahat.

      Yung NSCR project na yan kay gloria pa yan hindi lang pinagpatuloy ni noynoy, tanda ko pa nga nung panahon ni gloria nilinis na mga squatters sa mga tabi ng riles dito sa amin sa san pedro laguna kaso nasayang lang dahil nagsibalikan ulit nung panahon ni noynoy porket nagkakurakutan daw kaya itinigil at pinutol kontrata ng mga chinese contractor, mahalagang proyekto yan dapat gumawa ng paraan si noynoy na matuloy pa rin, nasayang tuloy 6 na taon kung itinuloy lang ni noynoy sana napapakinabangan na yan noon pa, buti na lang pinagpapatuloy ni pareng rodrigo ang proyekto kahit papaano umuusad.

    dagdagan pa ang mga tren dahil ito ay isa sa mga transportasyon na mabilis at cost effective... kung gusto natin na mas magkaroon pa ng pag-unlad, ayusin natin ang transportasyon sa urban at rural areas.. at ang tren ang magsisilbing koneksyon nito

    Mabuti po at na preserved un mga lumang locomotive train na nasa entrance ng tutuban station. Naalala ko po dati ay naka display un isa sa mga yan sa loob ng Fort Santiago.

    Patay na siguro ako bago ko ma experience un expansion niyan un kahit close sa japan in terms of development. Wala eh karamihan ng pondo sa kalsada talaga napupunta. Andaming kalsada sa probinsya na sobrang lapad pero kakarampot lang nadaan kahit rush hour. Kung ii improve nila yan dapat electrified trains na. Iwan na iwan na tayo considering na tayo ata un kaunahan na may LRT sa southeast asia

    diyan kami nakatira sa malapit sa meycauayan station.nagtitinda kami ng diyario papuntang dagupan
    kaso pinabayaan lang ni corykong yan ng naupo na siya.di na niya pinondohan
    ang pnr kaya sana matapos na ang proyekto ng nscr.isa sa pinakamabilis na mass transportation.

      Silang mga hapon naman ang nangangasiwa ng PNR modernization. Kaya nga JICA eh pati sa MMSP. Involved sla sa malalaking proyekto ngayon para sa train system ng bansa natin. Ang sa Mindanao Railway nga lang yata ang hindi hawak ng japan.

    Dapat ang PNR EXTEND THEIR TRIPS TO AS FAR AS SOUTH BAGIUO ANG AS FAR AS SORSOGON, WITH WIDENED & MULTIPLE RAIL ROADS, NOT A SINGLE RAIL BUT MANY MANY RAILS, SO TO REDUCED USED OF BUSES AND CARGO TRUCKS. LET GOVT TRANSPORT COMPETE WITH PRIVATE TRANSPORTATIONS.

    Dati bata pako. I think 1995 umaabot pa ang PNR sa san pedro laguna. Binan laguna. Sta rosa laguna. Hanggang magsaysay laguna. Pinaka dulo ng PNR. Nakikita kopa kung pano umikot ang unahan neto para mapunta sa likod upang eto ulit ang maging ulo sa likod.
    Wala ng pinto at bintana nun ang train ng PNR.

    2019 nag join kami ng food fair sa S.Korea, ang distansya ng Hotel namin sa event ay parang Alabang to Q.C pero naalis kami ng hotel 20 mins. Before 8am.. ganon kaganda public transport nila.. Bus man or Subway network, napailing nalang talaga ako dahil naranasan ko maging mandirigmang commuter sa Metro Manila 😩 kawawa tayong mga Pinoy baka kulang pa ang 20 years bago makaranas ng ganong convinient sa byahe..

      Hindi aabot ng 20 years dahil ginagawa na mga riles ng tren yung grand central station matatapos na rin paglilipat ka sa ibang linya ng riles madali na pati PNR halos elevated na rin hindi na problema baha at ang contractor mga hapones na expert pagdating sa riles , panoorin mo mga vlog mga pinoy vloggers tungkol sa pagaayos ng daang bakal para makita mo sir.

Oo marami ng ginagawa.. pero maniwala ka Sir.. kapag naranasan mo ang subway system sa Seoul baka sabihin mo kulang 20 years sa dami ng linya 😂 yang grand station Sir napakarami doon may Mall pa sa ilalim ng lupa.. di lang po yan,yung Bus system nila na sana meron satin pero mukang malabo dahil na rin sa kultura ng Jeep at kipot ng mga service road sa Metro Manila.. pero mas maigi na ngayon na may nasimulang mga pagbabago.. dapat ituloy ng susunod na administrasyon..

      @@honhonfacundo para mapicture mo ang sinasabi ko Sir.. imagine lahat ng City sa metro manila may sariling MRT,LRT at Subway line na konektado sa bawat isa, tapos may mga linya naman ng Tren mula metro manila hanggang probinsya, kung makikita mo ang mapa parang sapot ng gagamba sa dami.. yung nagiisang subway natin sa 2025 pa ata matatapos at yung Clark to Bicol 2028.. swerte ang mga kabataan, sila na makikinabang niyan in the future..

    Masyado na sila nakapokus sa mrt at lrt sana mapansin din nila ang pnr And sana hindi nila tinangal ang steam engine train kase mas ok ang steam engine kesa sa dieasel na nakakasira ng kalikasan and sa ibang bansa magpasahanggang ngayon ginagamit pa din nila ang steam engine nila ang galing diba 🤷

    Nakasakay ako ng tren byahen cabanatuan to manila twice, mga 1976, 1977, pabalik bus na tapos manila to nabua once, 1979 ordinary lang, masama na ang pagkamaintain, matagtag, di ka makaihi at makadumi ng maayos sa cr kasi ang lakas ng uga, pag nakahinto naman sa station masisilip ka kc walang tabing, sala sa init sala sa lamig, la pang tubig. Sana maibalik ito north at south, gawin ng modelo, aircon.

    Napaghahalata talaga sa history ng railways na ito na di binigyan ng importansya ang mga nasa probinsya. Kasi mas priority yong big cities. Kaya napabayaan kasi di naman sila ang mahihirapan bumayahe pa punta sa city. Napakadaming lapses din, hinayaan yong mga tao manirahan sa gilid ng train, ginawan pa ng palabas sa TV noon parang naging proud pa na madaming nakatira sa gilid dyos ko po.

    Yung PNR rehab and expansion (Northrail) started during sa admin ni PGMA. If I remember it correctly, punong puno ng squatters yung mga riles before kay PGMA. Natigil lang momentum nung admin ni PNoy and ngayon tinuloy under PRRD.

    I have an Idea... We are facing ngayun ng pagmamahal ng mga bilihin lalo na ang mga gulay bigas at karne.. Because of Oil price increase..... Bakit hindi natin ulit gamitin ang mga tren to transport goods from provinces farm provider's sa kanilang mga bagsakan in different part of luzon, ganun din sa visayas at mindanao... Kahit papaano bumaba ang presyo ng mga bilihin diba?

    During my childhood train is our clock nagpapastol kami ng kalabaw sa bukid at kapag dadaan na ang train from la union it means 10am na at pwede na namin iuwi mga pastol namin na kalabaw at mga kabahayan naman it means magluluto na ng tanghalian.

    Napakadalang ng byahe ng tren ng PNR lalo na pag ppunta ka ng south like Laguna kaya pano gaganahan tao na sumakay ng PNR? syempre ang tao sasakay sa mga bus kung saan anytime may masasakyan. Dapat 24/7 meron kayo byahe mula umaga hanggang gabi para makasanayan ng tao.

    Sa totoo lang mas maganda ang mass transportation for example sa bus one vehicle lang pero aabot ng 30+ ang sakay unlike sa kotse isa lang sakay marami na yung buong pamilya for example 2-5 people. Kung karamihan satin pipiliin ang public transportation unti-unting luluwag ang kalsada sa tingin ko lang kaya lang naman nagkakatraffic kasi halos lahat nakakotse na eh. Tignan nyo na lang sa japan at south korea ang yaman dahil sa daang bakal halos mas marami ang daang bakal nila kesa sa mga kotse.
