Cummins power man. About the beeper, those Fords beep like that until the engine is running. There's a faster beep for the low air warning

The Powerstroke diesel engines at the time weren't made by Ford, they were made by International Navistar. Since 2011, Ford uses their own diesel engine in their pickups now which is a 6.7L Powerstroke. They used to use the 7.3L IDI and the turbo version, (aka the 7.3 Powerstroke) the 6.0L (VT365) and the 6.4L diesel engines which are all by International.

Ford and Chevy both used Cummins engines in various medium duty vehicles. The Powerstrokes at the time weren't rated for medium duty use.
