- In this video we are using a 500 Watts ±40V Switch Mode Power Supply to push the Mono TDA8954 to clipping to measure how much it can really do at 8 ohms load.

Yeah, 2 liion 6s in series can provide about ±22V to ±25V dual polarity power supply that can be use to power the amp, honestly I do not like using liion if something shorts the liion can burst into flames.

The bridge rectifier will route the + and - to the correct connection on the board so the left and right do not matter.
This is only true if the board has a built in rectifier like the one on this video, if there is no built in rectifier then the correct polarity must be connected.

When using a transformer type power supply (EI core,Toroid), a dual 28 volts AC output transformer can be use, verify the output of the transformer that it does not exceed 28 volts AC before connecting to the amp. but to be on the safe side it is best to use a dual 24 volts output transformer.
When using a switch mode power supply(SMPS) be wary of the actual power rating of the power supply, most of the cheap chinese smps can only do half of its advertised power rating and only at 25°C.
i can hear the power supply high frequency noise
There is a little bit of coil whine from the psu but the louder high pitch noise is actually coming from the 8 ohms dummy load.
