It reminds me of my brother ( supposed to be my shikulu but was more of a brother than shikulu) Mr James Lembani Mwale who died in Luanshya April 2013 in Mikomfwa. He used to live near North bar and this song was a hit then in the juke box. I feel like crying right now. But what can I say, its life. may HSRIP
Reminds me of the good olden days at Nkumbi College Zambia. It was nice going 'across' for the illigal drinking sprees at the age of 15. Any idea where I can buy these CDs in the UK. Can we have part2 of this song including Vamahala vinatha Part2
Actually that is meaning, this song was talking about Welensky and Kaunda, people voted for UNIP based on what Kaunda promised them in his campaign messages. But it happened that people experienced more misery under the new government that they did under the old one, hence the song by Nashil Pitchen Kazembe. Nice piece.
Thanks, I used to listen to this song in the 80's during childhood but picked the literal interpretation not knowing it meant Government dynamics. It's still a hit
