@@xz9376 hello, im a little late hehe. but i think that consistency is what you need in learning a language. it's totally okay to skip some days tho. just know that french is really hard and there is no consistency in their grammar so don't get frustrated lmao. what i think you need is to:
1) *get a notebook dedicated to french* - you can put your french vocabulary in there and you can test yourself. you can also make this a journal, express everything you feel in french. this might be difficult at first because there'll be words you can't express in french but this is a great time to open up the dictionary or google translate to add some words in your vocabulary
2) *listen to some french music* - it's a little hard sometimes because you probably won't understand most of it. Read the lyrics as you listen to the song and translate any unknown words. I recommend you listening to Stromae, he's a great singer.
3) *watch tv shows and movies* - this is great for verbal learning, pronunciation, intonation, etc. This is also great bc you'll find common phrases or words used in daily vocabulary
4) *read books* - specifically children books. As you build your confidence you can progress to higher levels
5) *take advantage of free apps/extra resources* - there's a ton of free apps you can use to learn languages like DuoLingo, Drops, ClozeMaster, HelloTalk, Lingbe, iTalki, Anki, HiNative, etc.
6) *Find a language buddy* - find someone you can speak to (most likely a native) in french. Don't worry about messing it up, the whole goal of this is to make mistakes not avoid them. You can make a bunch of awful mistakes and learn from them and become more proficient in french, Don't focus on yourself instead focus on the other person and how they're speaking. After all, communicating with others is the whole point of learning a a new language
(these tips can work with any language you want:))
Always keep in mind the reason of why you wanna learn french and hold on to it. you'll find yourself being unmotivated in the middle of learning french but it's okay to take a few days of rest. everything will be worth it in the end tho
you can also record yourself speaking french so you can practice it
and also you can also follow this channel's videos (YouLearnFrench) from lesson 1 to the end, it's a great channel :)
