He is absolutely right even mombasa is the biggest dump my god you can't pass through roads and lanes unless you hold your breath !!! This absolutely shame for Kenyan leaders !

    I so agree with Briatore!
Malindi is a sleazy town. Most of it is a stinking dump site. Not charming at all. (Mombasa is the same)
I can't understand why the county is not ashamed o show this to the tourists still coming.
I go here because I have to. Not because I enjoy it. My husband works in Malindi area.
I don't know what the governor and senator are doing ..... other than cashing in a salary (and a lot more) every month.

this so true. for over 20 years roads in malindi have never been recarpeted let alone expansion.
once know as the "little italy"(as a result of Italians who flocked the town in the recent past), the town is no longer living up to the nickname.
malindi is a town with too much potential than even some other towns(Nakuru, eldoret and the enlisting goes on). that should soon acquire city status.

Flavio i agree with you. The politicians should take care of the infrastructure and cleanliness. Instead of improving this they are busy going to China to get loans. Mombasa is one of the dirtiest Irlands.

Flavio is right something should be done,we can't expect investors to do everything for us.if they do say start garbage collection the county will start complaining of their job being taken.so let the investors boost us in technical areas they can and the main job be done by the county

Flavio speaks the truth. Malindi was paradise in the mid 90's. Money talks and bullshit walks - "for the moment is a lot of talk and with the talk you don't make any business." ABSOLUTELY truth. Finish the airport, build the road! Make Malindi great again!

absolutely true. i grew up in malindi and during the time i believed it was the next big thing.
this town used to be a threat to Mombasa tourism industry but at the moment the tourist opt for watamu or Mombasa.
soon we gonna have it as a ghost town. all those hotels along the beautiful beaches are gonna shutdown unless something right is done.

I wonder if the situation in Coastal Kenya is changing at all. I used to think the coast would be bigger than Nairobi metropolitan. What happened?
