    I recently purchased this item and have had no problems with it sticking to my vehicle. Makes loading my heavier kayak a breeze. Love it!

    Purchased mine from MEC here in Canada. It's exactly the one used in vid. Works great. It's not hard plastic suction feet like someone mentioned and I attached it to my window that I just wiped off w a paper towel and it stayed on tight. Very happy. Thanks for the vid

    You will need to use rubbing alcohol on the rear window to clean it before these will stick because of how stiff the suction cups are. If you can get it attached to a painted surface near the top of body of the vehicle close to the rack it will hold like a dent puller ! forget the rubbing alcohol and you might as well forget the boat rollers!

    You didn’t show how to get the front of the boat up on the roller. That would be the most important part of this video.

    I was feeling very positive after finding this product then calling the company but when I tried loading my 100 lb kayak, the suction cups came loose. I did follow all directions. Window was clean and on level surface. May work with a lighter boat but not mine. Will be returning.

    What's the brand of that roof rack you're using? That looks interesting...

      Hey Rockies GIS! That was a roof rack product of ours called the Smart Bars. Unfortunately, we no longer make them.

    I just received mine and assembled. Is there supposed to be some looseness (slight swivel) of the suction cup arms after tightening the bolts?

    • @SeattleSportsCo
      @SeattleSportsCo  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi Brian - Thank you for your purchase! Yes, there will be a slight swivel after tightening the bolts. This allows for the suction cups to easily form to the back window. Don't hesitate to reach out to us directly if you have any other questions. Cheers!

    I have a Honda Fit and a 14 ft touring kayak. The Fit has a spoiler and a fairly vertical rear window. Will this get my kayak to clear the spoiler?

    • @SeattleSportsCo
      @SeattleSportsCo  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi Crickett - You have about 6.75 inches from the surface to the top of the foam roller. If you can, measure from your windshield to the top of your spoiler. If it's less than 6.75 inches...you should be good!

    Will this work with a 2020 Subaru Outback that has an overhang at the rear window?

    • @SeattleSportsCo
      @SeattleSportsCo  10 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Thanks for the question. Yes it will. The suction cups have 2 orientations to the roller bar. you would mount the suction cups so the roller bar doesn't stick straight up, but instead is at 90 degrees to teh suction cups. You can then mount on your spoiler/fin, and the roller bar would be facing the back of the car (lowering the height of the rollers). You should mount the suction cups as far forward (toward front of car) as possible, so you're not putting a lot of leverage on the fin mounts)
      **You should put some hand pressure on the fin first to make sure it feels solid and has not become brittle or weak with age or UV).** Thanks for your question and interest in the boat rollers!

    I have beach sand scratches all over the rear window of my mini-van
    Will those scratches have any negative effect on the suction cup's ability to adhere to the rear window ?

    • @SeattleSportsCo
      @SeattleSportsCo  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi Nicky - Thanks for reaching out to Seattle Sports! Imperfections in the surface that the suction cup is trying to adhere to may prevent a secure suction. For more information please contact our customer service team @ contact@seattlesportsco.com

    Do you think I could use this on my Dodge Promaster High top van to load the canoe on from the rear of the van? I have an ugly solution where I side-load the canoe as shown in this video: th-cam.com/video/3vS1gSiAlgE/w-d-xo.html

    • @SeattleSportsCo
      @SeattleSportsCo  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hey Brad - Thanks for the good question. There are a couple of solutions for your high top van using the Boat Roller. Both depend on the weight of your canoe. Lightweight Canoe: Place Boat Roller on back window in the 90 degree position and push up from there. Heavier Canoe: Place Boat Roller on roof at the back of the van in the upright position. Push up from back. Both options would require you to flip the canoe over once on your roof. Please reach out to us directly via contact@seattlesportsco.com if you have any other questions on these setups. Thanks!

      Boats are light relative to the impact resistance of windshields. We've had this product on the market for over a decade without one report of a broken windshield. We don't guarantee that, but history and physics suggest this should not be a concern. Thanks for your input.

      I like your review better than the ones above. Just ordered mine, hope it works like the one you got and not like the one the 2 people above got.
