Among the most sought-after U.S. paper money of the late 1960s are the short-lived "Barr" Notes. The bills feature the signature of then Secretary of the Treasury, Joseph W. Barr. Barr had a relatively short term of office, the shortest of anyone that has held the position (December 21, 1968 - January 20,1969), leading to hoarding of these $1 Secretary Barr Notes. These notes are Series 1963B.

Your graded 1776 is one great note. You have your 1776 date, it is a star note and a low serial number. It just has everything going for it.

A true bicentennial note would be 07041776.Having a 074 in the serial number does not make it one
