Back in the day (late 60s and 70s) Bozza was very popular, as were so many of the Paris Conservatory composers. Most of them wrote some very good chamber music, too.
Bozza lifted/borrowed/stole parts of a bassoon solo from Respighi's Metamorphoseon (1930) for this work. No joke. Listen to the Respighi work; the variation with the "cadenzas" and you'll hear it.

@@prestonatkins1337 There is recording of the Metamorphoseon on TH-cam. At about 15:15 you will hear the bassoon cadenza that is in the Bozza work 👍🏼
