Nice mixed-bag style video. I like the free-flowing and laid back nature of this video :) I remember Candlebox from the 90s, but I don't remember what they sound like. I might pick the MoV release up next year. Am I correct in remembering that they were lumped in with the grunge scene back in the day? A lotof non-grunge bands were (one of the strangest ines Being Dizzy Mizz Lizzy who have absolutely nothing to do with grunge). I don't mind those K-Tel style comps, because you get sooo much music on one record. Looks like you clean all vinyl you buy before playing them. I do too... even new ones. Super cool that you found a record by you father-in-law. :)
Hey Kim! I do try to clean all my vinyl immediately...and yes, new or old. Otherwise they get backlogged and I quickly loose track. Candlebox are definitely not grunge...at least imho. I'm not big on categorizing music, so I leave it to others for whatever floats ones boat. It's hard rock at the very least for me. Almost in the vein of Skid Row (though not lyrically/content wise at all) at the risk of comparing. It was cool that my wife actually pulled the record of her dad's out of the bin. Most were pretty bad, but for a canuck buck, It was worth the dig! Thank you man! Cheers bud! 🍻✌️🤘🎶🤘
