Gday Chelsie, tip for young players - for elbows and knees - cheap solution is old thick socks, cut off toes, pull over joint to minimise abrasion, also keeps joints warm & allows easy movement
When I was a recruit I always took a keen interest what the Training Sergeants took with them. A indestructible flask. A kettle, with a multi plug extension lead. Vending tea, coffee , chocolate drinks( already in a cup) just add water from the pound shop. A steam iron, with folding ironing board. Hacksaw. A good flashlight. Plenty of waterproof bags. Sense Of humour.
I bought a giant flask complete with two cups that held like 1.5 litres of coffee to an adventure training expedition with my College to Wales. As we were unloading our backpacks at the youth hostel someone dropped my rucksack and the inside shattered 🤔 coffee a la shards of flask anyone? 🤣
Just finished my application form for the reserves thanks to your videos. I have been debating it for a while but these videos have really pushed me to finally do it. Thanks for your content, so helpful x
No role mat on the long range days? we used them on basic in NZ. Mechanic gloves are great on the weapons. I used to use food as currency , basically had a Naffie in my locker, you bull my boots ect then you take your pick.
If anyone in the comments are going to actual basic, not civvy camp only take what is on the list given to you everything you need will be given to you. (Crusader cup is a life saver though)
@@98CLLoyd Many things that will help/make your life easier at phase 1 & ITC Catterick, lighters, windproof preferably good for in the field and sterilising needles, baby wipes for cleaning and removing cam cream, good polish kit with altberg leder for your altbergs, Paracord, extra bungees, combination padlocks not keys, at least x2 spare twisties, zinc oxide tape is really good for your feet if you have any blisters etc, 100% headphones for ironing, a good lint roller to remove hair and extra dirt from your kit because when it comes back cleaned it has lint all over it, extra tent pegs, dry sacks/canoo bags. There are probably a few extra things that people like to take or not take but people get a feel for it themselves and then know more what they need after exercise and the first weekend off etc.
@@park_rat_matt bungees are shit and should never be used. twisters are useless as combats have ties in the bottom, altberg leder is overprices just use dar tan, if you use baby wipes you are a goping bod. if you were to take anything it'd be :Dark tan and black polish with off brush. Small clip tupperware, shave oil, dish rag.
Hi I am in the process of joining the army reserves and been told I will get uniform before selection is this true or will I get it after selection hope you are well ☺ xx
We're meant to be given socks for PT? Also, what canoe bags do you recommend? There's a pack of 5 on Amazon, but I'm not too sure if they will be big enough for the kit or not.
@@ChelsieAngeles oh. My kit list doesn't have PT socks. Where did you get the bags from? The Amazon set I'm thinking of buying comes with 1.5L, 2.5L, 3.5, 4.5L, and 6L. I'm guessing they will be too small then?
Lemme guess? The British army is still kissed about America declaring illegal independence and wants America back to regain the title of the most powerful military as they once were in its glory days.
You should stop whining about shit and use your platform to tell people how they should focus on working as part of a team rather than this utter crap.

i start basic training for the regulars in 3 weeks and can’t wait! love the videos 💗
Thank you! Best of luck for basic! 💖
@@ChelsieAngeles Thank you :) x
Do you have an Amazon wish list for all the things that you recommend to bring to basic training that you could possibly share?
Additionally kit items can be found on surplus sites and survival aids which also sell new non official kit
There are also almost transparent or with window bar canoe bags, so just grab one of those. I recommend.
You can get mtp/hmtp dry bags(Kano bags) but another option would be olive as to ensure minimal visibility
Old military saying, 'Any fool can be uncomfortable' is so true
And ‘Travel light, freeze at night’…
All the best 👍🏾🇬🇧
Can I recommend getting Mechanix gloves more so the m-pact multicam ones. Also the viper multicam knee and elbow pads

Good Day
Don't forget an ammo flask for coffee
Really amazing
For elbow/knee pads is fabric sports bandages going to be enough?
When do you have to go back to Army Training?
I wish I took my issued waterproof jacket and spare smock.
Hi.
This is a year old.
You still in the Army?
All the best.👍🏾🇬🇧
Hi, yes still serving!
Can you take your phone with you to use at night on training?

All you need for basic training is to know at the end you can have a maroon lid, don’t be a hat

Hello mam I am colourblind red and green can I join british army please reply me?
Had same problem - failed the mosaic (colour dot) test but then went on the “lamp” test passed that and went on to serve 7 years in the infantry.
Just did selection, I was found to have the most severe red green colour blindness on the chart, still got my chosen role, all fine!
