Unfortunately, they'd had to stick to Nascar current rules and regulations, which are garbage compared to the old days. There's not much filmmakers could do about it unless they take some liberties.
I remember the original upload of this being two parts. Like the year you tube came out as a thing... This REALLY needs to be re-done with the 1987 cup cars in iRacing. It'd be INCREDIBLE

Now I'm 31 and every time at 8:52 I think "Well, yeah that's what you do at Daytona/Talladega. If you don't want him there, hang him out to dry on the high line and let him get shuffled to the back."
