I'm surprised Suhyun from AKMU isn't on the list though :0 I think she has one of the top voices that are unique and could be recognized as hers easily.

The last clip of Hwasa was actually a duet with Kei and it was from a round in Queendom (the first one where MMM won!) they were singing 'Wish Were You Gay'. :)

She won and beat the losing jinx of “Hidden Singer” for a reason. Not many artists win that show because they really pick singers who sound like the original singer, but with Hwasa, it was always so obvious what door she’s behind.

Goeun (not Gaeun, that was a typo) from Purple Kiss is a great choice but her co-member Swan has even more uncommon and fascinating colour in her voice. Can't wait for you to properly discover Purple Kiss! Cheers and thanks for good work, your analysis is always insightful.
That's what I was thinking, Goeun is very impressive, don't get me wrong... she is amazing(her high notes are so clean). But Swan is the one that I, particularly consider, has an unique tone. I love the tone of her voice, it has so much flavor and she has certain charisma that makes her performances so dynamic 💜

btw, Jiwoo didn't participate in Queendom, it was in 'Good Girl'. Her performances there were really amazing and my favorite one is 'witch' which was along with artists like Jamie, Hyoyeon, Cheetah... You should definitely check it out!

Ahhh I loved Hwasa's compilation so much it really shows her unique vocal skills & style. You should indeed really check out Wish you were gay & Orange Colored Sky. Also, Hwasa doesn't have any Jazz or RnB background Efra😂 in her earlier days she has mentioned many times on shows that she loves retro style in music & on a radio show she'd said she loves blues feel & in her concert she had said she fell in love with Jazz & RnB during her debut days and the fact that she continued her journey despite bodyshaming criticisms bcoz of the strength she gained from Rihanna & Beyonce's music & concert videos shows where she got her western inspired style of vocals 💫❤️

Seulgi actually has a lot of a capella or pratice videos where she's singing karaoke style or just completely alone without music. And she sounds absolutely angelic. I wish people would compile a video of those because I feel like you could definitely hear more of what she's capable of through them. As well as her perferred style.

Since u seem interested in hwasa's background in singing,then let me tell you she used to participate in lots of musical when she was around 10.She also did a lot of school level competitions with wheein.Also before their debut,she used to record guides for AOA,4min

KARD's Jiwoo actually joined the other MNET T.V show called "Good Girl" which was from rappers to idols and solo artists, various female celebrities gather to show their skills. They perform on stage with their different unique types of music, with charisma and character. She didn't join any season of Queendom. :)
Sea of hope and masked singer really showed us so much about how Rosé is as a vocalist. She really has a great vocal tone and her twang is just so beautiful to see. Also she really does thrive in a acoustic setup but also adds great sound to heavy edm songs like her BLACKPINK tracks for example RFL

React to more EXID please. They're the most underrated vocal queens. Their main vocal won king of masked singers twice. And I am pretty sure they all actually went there solo to sing. Even their main rapper, who btw make most of their songs, went there and killed it. Their main rapper actually taught Hyuna how to rap. And Hani herself, is not only the third best singer in the group, but also the one that save the whole group with her fancam. Earning her the well deserved title of fancam queen. Not only because she hot, but also because she one of the most charismatic kpop idol ever. Her stage presence is up there with the best of the best. Plus they have to be the funniest girlgroup ever. Hani, again, hosted weekly idol along side Heechul for a while. She also know as the female version of him and their relationship look like two siblings having to work together.

I feel some type of way that Swan, also w/ Goeun from Purple Kiss, wasn't on here :/ BUT HWASA @ #1!!!! She can do everything from jazz to ballads. She has excellent control over her rasp, fry, and vocal breaks which allows her to effortlessly change the feel of whatever she's singing :)

As a moomoo representative, I know that Mamamoo was trained using jazz and blues techniques for their voice foundation in their early days; even now, we can hear the nuances or mannerisms when they sing, especially hwasa, which together with her unique sounding voice makes an excellent combination. In addition, checking up on their previous old songs it was highly attached to jazz, retro, and pop genres which paved their way to success. Aside from that, the Billie Eilish song was covered by hwasa and Kei(Lovelyz) for their performance together in queendom, watch that in your free time because probably it will be blocked here cause it is from mnet. goodbye (*￣3￣)╭

it's just that with exid songs, they try to fit everyone in so that the members can all have many lines so the resulting genre doesn't fit her voice. smthng like that.

Unique voices....... Joy of Red Velvet has a very unique beautiful voice. No one else sounds like her.
So, and with much appreciation to the artists here, I believe there are even more unique voices such as Apink's EUNJI, I mean Hello??? Bom from 2ne1, SNSD's Taeyeon, F(x)'s Luna, Sistar's Hyorin and Soyu, and even more, I think the title should Probably specify the period as this is mostly 3ed and 4th Gen as to (in my opinion) not dismiss those before.

@@usedtobemyself definitely, specially with the popularity of 3ed and 4th gen youtubers ( got into kpop at that specific point) a lot of the originals get left behind even 1st gen I mean Bada is still one of the best vocalists ever but they probably wouldn't even know of her! Plus, in my opinion I think these creators lack the respect for the predecessors, it's either include all generations or at least specify in he title, dont leave out great talents just because they aren't your favs!
Park Bom still has the most unique voice I have ever heard also she's the one who made it a trend to have an unique voice so I'm disappointed to not see her here
Her pre-debut voice is so unique that even years/more than a decade after, you can't find anyone else like that in kpop. I mean, they can try, but it's just her. When she joined King of the Masked Singer, you already know by the first word that it's her. lol. That's how recognizable and unique her voice is.
I think BOM (2NE1) must be here too since she & Rose' have similar voice technique & they shared same voice instructor in YG

I was surprised to see HyoLyn not on this list. Hyolyn is really being underestimated in this generation! HyoLyn voice is the most unique one in Korea. Husky's unique voice but capable of reaching difficult high notes! Singing with difficult choreography. Hyolyn is one of the underrated KPOP ACE!!
