btw if u take a good look at their TOS, bandai will ban everyone if they are not in japan but logged into the game which mean if a japanese player logged into the game outside japan. He will be banned forever and will not be unbanned. Even if he proved hes a japanese when he got back to japan. cant say anything rn , as the TOS told us so. What we can do is to use VPN before we open the launcher
Yeah someone mentioned they logged on via their brothers IP in Japan, got banned and the brother tried to appeal with evidence of living in Japan but they still said they violated ToS because of logging in outside of Japan.
It does really work with VPN as well, because the use of VPN can be easily detected and they just assume anyoine that need a VPN to play thier game is not from Japan. There is a lot of ppl who used vpn and got banned as well. If is just a matter of time.

Since ping does matter if you want to play in optimal conditions especially with well timed class I guess it was a nice demo experience. I got banned at level 10 and it is too early to decide whether I will play the global release or not... One thing certain is like the vast majority of us, I will never support Amazon Games Studio's standards.
I actually haven’t felt the impact of lag while playing Blue Protocol except when I’m spamming F on NPC’s. Sometimes I overshoot and I end up talking to them twice lol. But actual game play wise, I haven’t felt the lag. I wonder if anyone else has.

Honestly, this game was not what they promised. In the end, they still put a pay-only imagine in the season pass. They gave f2p a weaker version of it, but you are still locked out unless you pay for a pass. The game as a whole looks outdated. The graphics looks like something that should have been released 10 years ago. I would say FF14 looks better than it and that game was released in 2010. Gameplay wise, it was nothing to write home about. Nothing unique, everything feels basic. In a time with gacha games everywhere, this is refreshing; however, they could not escape from selling something in the store other than cosmetics. The lack of a player marketplace was interesting. I guess it is an easy way to fix possible RMT problems, but lacking a marketplace also cuts player interactions and more ways to make money. I have always liked buying/selling on Final Fantasy games so this is a huge minus for me. All in all, I don't know if I would play it when the global version comes out. The game was fun since there is not a lot of better options out there right now, but if something does come out soon (e.g. Riot MMORPG), then I doubt I will bother with the Amazon version.
I think you have a lot of good points. I love MMO’s with trading; however, I do think the way they set it up could either solidify the longevity of the game or kill it all together. I like the idea of not having to rush the content to get to end game to sell end game content to whales. I like not having to create multiple alt’s to farm content and funnel your main character. But your other points, agreed on graphics and early level gameplay.
To be honest even though I agree with most of what you are saying despite much of it being subjective, I don't think anyone is actually looking for a MMO that "reinvents the wheel" at this point, as we knew for years now what type of game this would be & what it aimed to accomplish in terms of what it would/could offer as a closely-tied MMO. There are things I dislike about it so far, but with the absolutely myriad of gacha bullshit games out that nickel and dime you for EVERYTHING.. this is certainly a HUGEEE breath of fresh air, that is for certain. All I wanted personally was a decent anime MMO I could play that focused more on the traditional aspects of the genre rather than giving in to being a fully-fleshed out anime gacha game that is as generic as they come. Since this game is still within its infancy stages, a lot of things could be changed for the better (or worse) so I am holding out on a solidified opinion for now & waiting a few months to see the direction the game goes for now. P.S. I REALLY hate gacha games lol
On holiday in Tokyo currently. I was banned after 15 hours of play, laptop is in English with time zone set to Tokyo to adjust for what I normally do, but I was even on hotel Wi-Fi in Tokyo and still got banned. I don’t know how that happens, but seems like anything pertaining outside of Japanese, even if your system is in English, gets banned

If you were to get banned, would you still be able to use it after its 2024 global release? like say you "unbanned" yourself by deleting the files in the temp folder, then just like not touching the game after its release. it'd be sad after grinding for 5 and a half days straight just to get banned (still got hit even with nord vpn on tokyo) then start from scratch. wouldnt complain when starting from scratch, just curious if i could still use my 'banned' account in the future
People are saying after they delete the files, they are “unbanned” for a few session as in they can play a few more times before getting hit with a perma ban. They are able to “unban” because they were only soft banned but it seems like most soft bans becomes hard banned.
your account you used originally to gain access is probably gone permanently but you can create a new one just make sure you do a full clean install after you've completely cleared any and all files associated with bandai launcher. and you also might need a new email address too potentially
I got more weird banned. no VPN use or mod, using JP name. playtime about 30 hours-ish character level 23 and this happened just today. I can still login to my character. can load to the game. but no matter what I do, when it reaches 1 minute I'll always get error 01069 on the screen with JP text "your PC or account violate the TOS so this game is forced terminate" which kicks me out... I saw most of people get banned text on title screen so my case was very weird

I got banned as well, im using NordVPN and I always have it on, never once did i disconnected it I have a japanese name, and I never once spoke in the public obviously they detected im using vpn from the backend and banned me

Pretty sure he's still good. It is very important to fully close out of the launcher as it has a background process running. I'm still good so far now.

And that game is better at everything other than graphics compared to this game. This clunky game started to develop since 2014 as a part of many games who tried to follow Dragon Next a decade ago, but this game got delayed to 2023 because they knew this crappy game will get obliterated by Genshin Impact, so they remade the game, which still end up being this pile of garbage. This game have no end game content, and the maximum level is 20, which means many people can almost instantly reach end game, there are already many people stuck with nothing to do in the last 3 days after the game opens up
Sigh people, it seriously doesn’t matter if you use a vpn or not. There’s a whole ass thread about the ban waves from yesterday and there’s countless people who’ve used even paid vpns and got themselves banned. There is a “fix” to “unban” yourself, by deleting temp/%temp% files - but people have said there’s another file implemented that’ll just keep coming back to potentially ban you again after a session so take from this what you wish.

Connections on blue protocol can be traced back. Even using a proxy won’t work. The only way you can safety enjoy this game is to wait until global release.

Can confirm got banned using Private Internet Access - Which is a paid program. Thought it would of worked because it works for Netflix. I lasted 2 1/2 days before the ban. Barely reached Level 10. Was not enough time to determine. I can say that the game is very grindy but it does give a little bit of a SAO vibe. The good kind SAO. Not the games lol. But only a little bit. I was hoping to see if i can do the first dungeon solo but was banned before hand. Never got the chance to do Gacha since I am playing freeplay right now. I've earned some gacha currency but nothing from the main store. Unlike Genshin you rarely get it. It's what i was afraid of..... I want to get into it, but we need some dedicated developers. I always open VPN, check to make sure my IP is in Japan, then I log on. I always close out of Bandai launcher after exiting the game if I plan on closing my VPN. Yeah I heard 01069 error is a soft ban that ends up being a hard ban.
I am playing without vpn and didn´t have any problems. Until a few hours ago I started having problems but I am not exactly banned. I can play for a few minutes until it gives some error message about the computer and terms of use and then the game just closes... so Im not sure if I am being banned or just come kind of actual error

Why would you spend money on this game when you are not from JP that was the first mistake. They will differently know you are using a VPN because of your bank account

You didn't get hard banned then, you can still continue playing, there are certain methods you can do to remove that error notification.
