Mattress stitch, more grannys and planning a trip to Iona
Welcome to my weekly ramblings on my knitting and crochet project. We had a fab sock workshop on Saturday. Lots of great knitting and conversation. Well done everyone.
This weekend I've been finishing off a jumper I'm knitting for a friends birthday. I'm using a Rico chunky yarn which is lovely to knit with. I'm now finishing the garment and using mattress stitch to join the seems. If you haven't used it before it is worth trying. It gives a lovely need finish.
I'm doing some more prep for the granny square course. This week we'll be using double trebles to make a lovely cross stitch and having a go at the flower centre.
This week I'm wearing my Iona jumper made with yarn from Iona using a patter called Iona from Sarah Hatton
