Fun to watch Lee. Thanks for making something difficult look easy. Now I just need to catch 10 large fish on the same buck tail 😅. Happy New Year, safe travels for you, Robbie, Heidi and everyone you fish with. God Bless you all with 50,000 subs this year!
Great video Lee! And robbie as well! I'm looking for a good video/tutorial on how to tie flashabou/skirts when making your own bucktail. Any suggestions or ideas? TA or anybody
I discovered many years ago they are the BEST split ring pliers ever. I probably own at leAst four. Got 'em scattered about in a couple different tackle boxes, workbenches, etc. Don't leave home without 'em! Also their Maxi-Shear Flush Cutter 2175 is perfect for cutting fluoro and superlines very cleanly, as close as you require.
The top bead is to prevent the clevis from binding on the top wire twist. Its just extra insurance to make sure the blade doesnt bind and moves freely in the water. At least thats what i have found out making bucktails .
OK , how would you bend the wire to shape? It would be interesting also to see how you and Robbie make your own leaders. All the best to you and your family in 2020.
love n hate when they bend the bait. thanks! i need to re-wire afew baits prety badly. my best producing bait looks like an S right now. pink n black double 10s tinsel
I'm not a musky fisherman but I'm a Todays Angler fan and I like learning bout any type of fishing! Awesome stuff Lee!

Newbie here, but really getting the muskie bug from watching your great videos. What is the purpose of the heat shrink tubing?
Better hooking percentage and keeps flashabou from wrapping around the hook.
Awesome vid keep it up
Just got into the musky bug and loving the videos! What size net do you use or model/make?
Frabill Power Catch
Nice job, Lee. What size wire are you using to re-shaft those bucktails?

How well do you think a rod from chaos rods will hold up against saltwater?
Not sure, ask them?
