Huge shoutout to Wizards of the Coast for the free preview cards! I absolutely love the Redwall books, so I've been looking forward to Bloomburrow for months, and getting to participate in preview season for the set feels extra special! I can't wait to draft these cards!
Is Bloomburrow officially part of the Redwall canon or is it inspired by it?

This is something I really need to work on, recognizing the power level of certain cards within a vacuum and also paired with other cards. I'm often unsure as to what the best card in a pack is. So I definitely appreciate this video! Thanks for this

I started playing in MKM but started drafting in OTJ, I didn't like MH3 because besides being a stard player mostly, the sort of old school vibe of the set made so I couldn't even identify the cards quickly enough. Now seeing the spoilers for Blumborrow, I'm very glad we're almost there, I'm very excited to play this set.
mh3 is complex to me and i've been playing for years!

With Sugar Coat I'm wondering why you would want to enchant a food token?

@@monkeyboy-gf7eeanother reason is that not all the food cards are tokens and they can have other effects. Carrot cake is a food permanent and makes a 1/1 when you sac it. This would remove that line of text
There's also the edge case that someone has a Ygra, Eater of All in play and you want to remove the abilities of a creature that is now a food.
I feel like 1 for 1 removals are going to be worse than usual, with the "bring your kid to work" mechanic that makes two bodies and the general abundance of food/tokens synergies
then again, it's going to be really good against pseudo-heroic so who knows
I feel like premium removal spells are always nice because there are always threats that need to be answered. It's good to be thinking on this axis though, because removal definitely waxes and wanes in power level from set to set based on context like you mention!
Sugar coat being able to enchant food is so funny to me, because it’s basically useless most of the times, but it gives the card so much extra *flavour*
Edit: I just learned there is a point to that but my explanation (extra flavour) will continue to be my headcanon
As you figured out, it has to be able to enchant Food or it would immediately fall off a Creature when you played it. Just in case someone else has the same question.
