Proud Pops moment there. I’m in a real similar situation with breeding stock a good bit of the time. It’s niche for me too but I’ve got some lever guns shooting subs in 30-30 & .38spl for when they’re needed. With ammo availability the past few months I’m now breaking out 22wmr for the typical 40-70yd ranges when I know I’m just taking a shot or 2. Pretty slick results sending it to the dome and very little worry about regarding pass through and ricochets. #cheapguy 😂
That's a nice ranch. I can see why the ammo selection was so important. It's a tight squeeze between the horses and structures.

Love the proud dad moment I’ve got 3 young adopted daughters 10 to 13 there the last of the 13 sons and daughters left in the house yet the three youngest have there own deer and pig collecting contraptions there all 300blk all scratch built with there own personal touches they work great for there intended purpose I keep them within 75-100 yards max there definitely good at helping the freezer stay full

Now I have my 7.5" Aero Precision 300bo build with Hera furniture and a Hiperfire Eclipse trigger and a SIG Romeo 8 optic, locked up in the Yukon as my dedicated truck gun! I wish I had as many cans as this guy does. He rolls out a new suppressor seemingly every week!!!! Hold down Texas brother!

Man I hunt a few farmers properties and all the deer leases I'm on over here in Louisiana and I went through the 300 Blackout phase. I know for a fact I've lost more animals with 300 Blackout using supers and subs and I just don't like the cartridge but I can't deny it has a place doing this kind of stuff. Only time I use it is when I'm closer to houses so I'm not pissing off the farmers shooting all night while they're trying to sleep and on the very rare occasions I hunt around cattle just to keep from spooking them as much like you was talking about. A suppressed 300 Blackout is a good tool to have and bullet technology has come a good ways since it came out and they have some pretty god ones out there especially if you're a handloader but it's still something I only take out if I have to. From the sounds of it you pretty much think the same thing... Great video as always keepem coming brother!!!

I’m not a big 300 sub guy either but I will say that the Hornsby 190 sub x bullets do a great job when you need to be quiet and deadly.

At the end, you mentioned some times you mess up by bringing the wrong rifle along for a hunt, but I guess that means you need to keep several different rifles in the truck! :D

What kind of thermal scope is this?
Hmm, you know what, man..... I live in a State where Deer hunting is restricted to straight-wall cartridges. I still wanted to stay with an AR pattern, so I went with the biggest, baddest Mofo I could find...500 Auto Max.
And now I'm wondering how it would fare on hogs. Absolutely, the first one would be obliterated. But quick follow-up to harvest runners? I'm not so sure. However, you're a bigger dude than I am and might have the body type to tame the rifle better. If you get a wild hair to try something different, Auto Max might be worth a look. It carries huge power but also drops like a stone, seemingly exactly what you look for in the hunts like this video where you have to be mindful of cows, buildings, etc. Ammo cost though, that'll bite your wallet for sure.
Eh, just something to think about. On the plus side....since you'll have to buy a .50 cal Suppressor, it would be a great excuse to also grab a .50BMG plinker! :p
